  2019 ALL-PSAC FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION FIRST TEAM (COACHES): DB Brandon Anderson, Edinboro, Sr., Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross,...Anderson combined with Rogers to form an impressive secondary. A 6'1", 200 lb. redshirt senior, Anderson not only is now a rare three-time first team All-PSAC West honoree, but became the first Edinboro player to lead the team in tackles three straight years since Dan Caro in 1996-98. He finished with a team-high 100 tackles, and also led in solo tackles with 50. He had 7.o tackles for losses and 1.5 sacks, along with tying for the team lead with 4 interceptions, good for 14 yards. He had 6 pass break ups, which was tied for second on the team, along with a pair of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Anderson concludes his career with 353 tackles, good for ninth all-time.   2019 ALL-PSAC FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION FIRST TEAM (COACHES): RS Ta'Nauz Gregory, Edinboro, Sr., Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep,...Gregory was the 2016 PSAC West Freshman of the Year, and in 2017 was a second team All-PSAC West choice as a return specialist. He moved up to the first team at wide receiver a year ago. The 5'9" senior led Edinboro in receptions (67), yards receiving (931), and receiving TDs (7) while playing in all 11 games. The 67 receptions ranks fourth in a season, and the 931 yards is seventh. Gregory ranks third in the PSAC in receptions per game fourth in receiving yards per game. He also once again excelled as a return specialist, averaging 25.5 yards on 21 kickoff returns and 5.0 yards on six punt returns. - Edinboro Football

  2019 ALL-PSAC FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DB Aaron Rogers, Edinboro, Sr., Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township,...Rogers, a 6'2", 192 lb. redshirt senior cornerback, made a triumphant return after missing the majority of the 2018 season with an injury. He overcame a bump in the road to start the season, suffering an injury at Grand Valley State that forced him to miss two games. He would return against Cal U and play the best football of his career the rest of the way. Rogers finished fourth on the team in tackles with 61 while playing in just nine games. He tied Anderson for the team lead in interceptions with four, for 124 yards. He returned two for touchdowns, a 55-yarder vs. Seton Hill and a 52-yard TD return at Bloomsburg. He had a team-high 9 passes broken up along with recovering a fumble. - Edinboro Football

  2019 ALL-PSAC FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DL Gilberto Ortiz, Edinboro, Jr., Dunkirk, N.Y./Pine Valley,...Ortiz made a huge impact as the year went on. In fact, the 6'4", 235 lb. junior, a transfer from Erie Community College, did not start until the sixth game. The defensive end would go on to finish fifth on the team in tackles with 55, including team-highs of 16.0 TFL and 9.5 sacks. He ranks second in the PSAC and 33rd nationally in sacks, and sixth and 41st, respectively, in tackles for losses. He also forced 2 fumbles.   2019 ALL-PSAC FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION SECOND TEAM (COACHES): PK Vicente Arrigada, Edinboro, Fr., Bliss, N.Y./Letchworth Central,...Arriagada enjoyed a record-breaking season in his first campaign as the starting placekicker. The redshirt freshman broke the school record for field goals made in a season, converting on 16-of-20. The 20 attempts ranks third. He had an incredible run after making one field goal in the first four games. He would make three field goals in three games over the next four weeks, including the winning 35-yarder as time expired in an 18-17 win at Gannon. He made at least two field goals in five of the last seven contests, and at least one in each of those games. He was also a perfect 22-of-22 on extra points. Arrigada's 46-yard field goal against Gannon ranks 11th in longest successful field goal at Edinboro. - Edinboro Football

  2019 ALL-PSAC FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION SECOND TEAM (COACHES): RB Dorian Woody, Edinboro, Fr., Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll,...Woody, a 5'8", 175 lb. freshman, was another Fighting Scot who was forced to end the season on the sidelines with an injury, but not before leading the team in rushing with 354 yards on 126 carries with 3 TDs. That came despite basically missing the last three games with injuries. He also ranked fourth on the team in receiving with 17 catches for 90 yards and a TD. Woody's top effort came against East Stroudsburg, as he carried 19 times for 104 yards and 2 TDs and added 3 receptions for 46 yards. - Edinboro Football

  2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: DB Brandon Anderson, R-Sr., Edinboro (Pa.),...The 6'1", 200 lb. strong safety finished with 100 tackles, including a team-high 50 solo. He had 7.0 tackles for losses and 1.5 sacks, along with tying for the team lead with 4 interceptions, good for 14 yards. He had 6 pass break ups, which was tied for second on the team, along with a pair of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He led the team in tackles in six games and had 10-or-more tackles in five contests. He ranks fifth in the PSAC in tackles per game (9.1), and is tied for fifth in interceptions (4) and tied for 12th in passes defended (10). Anderson earned first team All-PSAC West accolades for the third straight year. The last Fighting Scot to be named to the first team three straight years was quarterback Trevor Harris from 2007-09.

He was named the PSAC Defensive Player of the Week after leading Edinboro to an 18-17 win at Gannon. He paced a defensive effort that saw the Fighting Scots limit a Gannon offense that scored 51 points in a win over Clarion the week before to just 305 yards. He had a team-high 10 tackles, with 1.5 for losses, a sack, a pass break up, and a forced fumble. The native of Willingboro, N.J. was a force at the line and in coverage in his four seasons at strong safety. He concluded his career with 353 tackles, good for ninth all-time.   NOV 4 PSAC WESTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Gilberto Ortiz II, Edinboro (Jr./DE), Dunkirk, N.Y./Pine Valley,...Ortiz II led an outstanding defensive effort by Edinboro in win over Clarion. The junior had 6 tackles (4 solo, 2 asst) with 4 TFL (16 yards) and 2 sacks (14 yards). Edinboro held Clarion to just 271 yards on 77 plays, a 3.6 yard average, with 3 turnovers. He had 2 of Edinboro's 4 sacks. Came up big at big times. With Clarion at Edinboro 21 on 3rd and 8 had sack for -7 yards, forcing a punt in 3rd quarter.   OCT 28 PSAC WESTERN DIVISION SPECIAL TEAMS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Vicente Arriagada, Edinboro (Fr./PK), Bliss, N.Y./Letchworth Central,...Arrigada made three field goals for the third time in four weeks as Edinboro handed Seton Hill a 37-10 defeat. Prior to that, the last time a kicker made three field goals in a game was in 2013 when T.J. Hardy made three against Seton Hill. The redshirt freshman made good from 22, 21, and 23 yards, and has now made eight straight attempts. He is 11-of-14 on the season. He returned his fourth career interception 55 yards for his first career touchdown. In addition, he recovered a fumble, broke up a pass, and had 5 tackles.   OCT 7 PSAC WESTERN DIVISION SPECIAL TEAMS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Vicente Arriagada, Edinboro (Fr./PK), Bliss, N.Y./Letchworth Central,...Arriagada drilled a 35-yard field goal as time expired to provide Edinboro its first win of the season. The redshirt freshmen made three field goals in all, the others covering 46 and 25 yards. He made good on three-of-four field goal attempts in all. The 46-yarder was the longest by an Edinboro kicker since Austin Reese made a 47-yarder against Mercyhurst in 2016. In addition, he is the first kicker to make three field goals in a game since T.J. Hardy made three against Seton Hill in 2013. He also contributed to the opening score of the game, a safety on the opening kickoff. His kickoff sailed far of the head of Gannon's return man and rolled to the one. The returner picked it up, was hit and fumbled.   OCT 7 PSAC WESTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Brandon Anderson, Edinboro (Sr./S), Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross,...Anderson led an Edinboro defense which limited Gannon to 305 total yards, finishing with 10 tackles, including 1.5 TFL and a sack. Had one pass breakup and forced a fumble which led to a field goal. The 305 yards allowed is a season-low for the Edinboro defense. Anderson now has 306 career tackles. The redshirt senior strong safety is approaching the top ten among career tackles. Michael Willis stands 10th with 329 tackles.
