  2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: DB Brandon Anderson, R-Sr., Edinboro (Pa.),...The 6'1", 200 lb. strong safety finished with 100 tackles, including a team-high 50 solo. He had 7.0 tackles for losses and 1.5 sacks, along with tying for the team lead with 4 interceptions, good for 14 yards. He had 6 pass break ups, which was tied for second on the team, along with a pair of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He led the team in tackles in six games and had 10-or-more tackles in five contests. He ranks fifth in the PSAC in tackles per game (9.1), and is tied for fifth in interceptions (4) and tied for 12th in passes defended (10). Anderson earned first team All-PSAC West accolades for the third straight year. The last Fighting Scot to be named to the first team three straight years was quarterback Trevor Harris from 2007-09.

He was named the PSAC Defensive Player of the Week after leading Edinboro to an 18-17 win at Gannon. He paced a defensive effort that saw the Fighting Scots limit a Gannon offense that scored 51 points in a win over Clarion the week before to just 305 yards. He had a team-high 10 tackles, with 1.5 for losses, a sack, a pass break up, and a forced fumble. The native of Willingboro, N.J. was a force at the line and in coverage in his four seasons at strong safety. He concluded his career with 353 tackles, good for ninth all-time.
