  11/16/19 - Harold ColesSr/2020, Cornell, 6-0, 212 (DS#121 RB) + More +

Richie Kenney threw for 267 yards and a touchdown, Harold Coles ran for 111 yards and a touchdown and Cornell stunned Dartmouth 20-17 on Saturday. Cornell (3-6, 2-4 Ivy League) snapped Dartmouth's 10-game winning streak. The Big Green hadn't suffered a defeat since Nov. 3 last year when Princeton beat them 14-9. Down 17-12, Kenney threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Owen Peters, then ran in the 2-point conversion. The score ended an eight-play, 75-yard drive that last 2 1/2 minutes. Dartmouth turned it over on downs on the ensuing drive, and after Cornell went three-and-out, the Big Red forced a turnover when David Jones intercepted Derek Kyler to end the game. Yale (8-1, 5-1) dropped into a first-place tie with Dartmouth. The Big Green, however, beat Yale 42-10 last month. Dartmouth ends the season at Brown (2-7, 1-5) and Yale hosts Harvard (4-5, 2-4). - AP College Football

Nickolas Null booted a 41-yard field goal that shaved the left upright with nine seconds on the clock as Cornell turned back a resurgent Brown 37-35 on Saturday for its first Ivy League win of the season. Cornell (2-4, 1-2) led 20-12 at the break, but Brown's Omari Garry scored from the 1 on the opening drive after halftime and the teams traded touchdowns the rest of the period. The Bears (1-5, 0-3) fashioned two unanswered scoring drives in the final period -- a 9-yard pass from EJ Perry to Demitri Jackson and a 35-yard Dawson Goepferich field goal -- to grab a 35-34 lead with 4:17 remaining. Big Red held Brown on downs when Jake Watkins sacked Perry for a loss of 16 yards when the Bears were attempting to convert a fourth-and-6 at the 12. Cornell took the ball the other way in five plays, setting up Null's game-winner with nine seconds left. - AP College Football

Harold Coles rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown, Mike Catanese ran for a pair of scores and Cornell's defense stopped Marist three times on fourth-down plays in the final period to win its season opener 21-7 Saturday. Cornell's rushing game dominated with 263 yards while holding the ball for 40 minutes. Big Red (1-0) held Marist (1-2) to two yards on the ground and held a 419-220 edge in total offense.

After a Big Red fumble in the fourth, Marist drove 71 yards in nine plays to a first-and-goal at the five. Three plays later, Dazhon Miller took a handoff straight up the middle but was pushed backward by a wall of Cornell defenders on the fourth-and-1 play. Marist also failed to convert from fourth-and-3 at the 11 when Luke Strnad's pass fell incomplete with 2:38 remaining and, early in the fourth, turned the ball over on fourth-and-9 after another incompletion. Strnad completed 16 of 38 passes for 218 yards. - AP College Football
