  2019 ALL-SWAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): RS Tyrin Ralph, Redshirt Junior, UAPB,...Ralph (5-8, 170; Jr., New Orleans, La.) was the most dynamic returner in the league this season, as he led the SWAC in punt returns averaging 10.5 yards on 14 attempts while averaging nearly 28 yards on nine kickoff returns. Ralph had four punt returns of at least 20 yards, and seven kickoff returns of at least 20 yards.   Taeyler Porter rushed for a season-high 197 yards on 30 carries with two touchdowns and Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Texas Southern 45-13 on Saturday to post its first winning season in seven years. Skyler Perry passed for two touchdowns and Taylor Holston and Shannon Patrick passed for one apiece for the Golden Lions (6-5, 3-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak. DeJuan Miller had 106 yards receiving including a 71-yarder. Henry Ballard III, Daryl Carter and Tyrin Ralph had the other TD catches. UAPB took a 31-7 lead after a 21-point second quarter. De'Andre Johnson was 29-of-43 passing for 222 yards and a touchdown and he also rushed for a score for the Tigers (0-11, 0-7), who have not had a winning season since 2000.   Taeyler Porter ran 98 yards for the go-ahead score late in the fourth quarter and Arkansas-Pine Bluff held off a second-half rally to defeat Division II member Lane 45-38 on Saturday. Porter's huge run came four minutes after Lane tied it on a 14-yard TD pass from Michael Huntley to Anthony Evelyn. Lane (2-3) reached the UAPB 39-yard line on its final possession before Huntley was intercepted by Shawn Steele. The Golden Lions led 24-6 at halftime before Lane scored 25 points in the third quarter.

The Dragons closed to within 24-21 on a short Huntley TD pass and a 70-yard punt return by Evelyn. The Dragons eventually tied the game at 31 late in the period. UAPB went ahead 38-31 on a 9-yard run by Skyler Perry before the Huntley-to-Evelyn hookup tied it at 38. Porter carried 21 times for 182 yards for UAPB (4-2) and Shannon Patrick threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Huntley was 22-of-35 passing for 238 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Evelyn had two receiving TDs plus the punt-return touchdown. - AP College Football

  Skyler Perry threw three touchdown passes and his backup Shannon Patrick tossed three more as Arkansas Pine Bluff scored 35 unanswered points to beat Alabama A&M 52-34 on Saturday in a Southwestern Athletic Conference opener. Perry opened the scoring with a 59-yard TD toss to Harry Ballard III on the Golden Lions' first possession, but Aqeel Glass drove Alabama A&M 68 yards in four plays, connecting with Abdul-Fatai Ibrahim from 9 yards out to forge a tie. Zack Piwniczka kicked a 30-yard field goal to put the Golden Lions (1-1, 1-0) up 10-7, but the Bulldogs (1-1, 0-1) used a 17-yard TD run by Jordan Bentley to take a 14-10 lead. Patrick gave Pine Bluff the lead for good when he hooked up with Tyrin Ralph for a 28-yard score and a 17-14 lead.

Perry hit Jeremy Brown for an 8-yard TD in the second quarter and Patrick added a 49-yard scoring strike to Ballard to make it 31-14 at halftime. Patrick connected with DeJuan Miller for a 27-yard score and Taeyler Porter ripped off a 53-yard TD run in the third quarter to end a 35-0 run, putting the Golden Lions up 45-14. Keshawn Williams carried 20 times for a career-high 201 yards, while Porter finished with 117 yards on 18 totes for Pine Bluff. Patrick competed 9 of 14 passes for 196 yards, while Perry was 11-of-15 passing for 109 yards. Ballard hauled in four passes for 132 yards and three TDs. Porter rushed for 1,220 yards in only 10 games, highlighted by a career-best 38-carry, 226-yard, 3-TD game at Grambling.
