Ja'Quinden Jackson ran for a career-high 97 yards and a touchdown and No. 12 Utah had a season-high 306 yards rushing in a 45-20 win over Arizona on Saturday night. Cam Rising threw for 151 yards and a touchdown in his return following a one-game absence. Utah (No. 14 CFP, 7-2, 5-1 Pac-12) forced seven fumbles and recovered four. Jayden de Laura had 159 yards passing and ran for a touchdown to lead Arizona (3-6, 1-5). The Wildcats totaled 387 yards but gained only 138 yards after halftime. Utah took control of the game in the second quarter behind an imposing running attack. The Utes racked up 153 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in the first half while averaging 7.0 yards per carry. Three of the scores came in the second quarter.

Arizona got its only touchdown before halftime when Michael Wiley gained 57 yards on a jet sweep to set up De Laura's 3-yard scoring run two plays later to tie the score 7-7. Third string QB Nate Johnson scored touchdowns on his first two career carries to help Utah pull away before halftime. His first touchdown, an 8-yard run, put the Utes up 14-7. After Zemaiah Vaughn recovered a muffed punt return at the Arizona 9, Johnson punched it in on his second run one play later to extend the lead to 28-7. Arkansas coach Sam Pittman nodded his head Monday when a reporter mentioned the numbers recorded by receiver Matt Landers in the team's last two games. He again nodded when asked if the Toledo transfer's play is more along the lines of what was anticipated when the Razorbacks signed him out of the NCAA transfer portal. Simply put: Landers is producing, and Pittman is thrilled. Confidence was the difference for Landers during Arkansas' victories at BYU and Auburn. "He needs confidence," Pittman said. "I mean, he needs that. We all do, but he needs that. He's catching the ball extremely well." Following a 123-yard outing in the Razorbacks' win over Missouri State on Sept. 17, Landers' numbers plummeted. He caught three passes for 50 yards over the next three weeks.

Landers was held without a reception in the loss at Mississippi State. That day, his string of 10 consecutive games with at least one catch was snapped. But in Arkansas' last two outings, he has looked better than ever. Pittman said last Monday that Landers would have to be good down the stretch if Arkansas hoped to close the regular season on a note similar to last year, when the team won five of its final six games. A long, speedy and fluid target, Landers may be turning the corner for the Razorbacks. "To be honest with you, I think KJ (Jefferson) is the one who really looks to me like he's looking for him a little bit more," Pittman said, referencing his quarterback. "Now, he has to get open. Taylen Green threw for a career-high 305 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another, George Holani rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns, and Boise State defeated Colorado State 49-10 Saturday evening. Boise State (6-2, 5-0 Mountain West Conference), winners of four straight, limited Colorado State to a season-low 170 yards, 49 less than the Rams mustered against Michigan in their season opener. The Broncos also posted a season-high 514 yards of total offense in the victory. Colorado State (2-6, 2-2), which gained nearly half their offensive yards on a 76-yard touchdown pass from Clay Millen to Justus Ross-Simmons, remains winless against the Broncos in 12 meetings.

Green, who rushed for over 100 yards in his first two games with significant playing time, hasn’t rushed for more than 22 yards during Boise State’s current win streak. He completed 22 passes - also a season high for the freshman - on 27 attempts for a completion percentage of 81, another personal best for him. Texas A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher declined comment on the reported suspensions of three true freshmen during Wednesday's weekly Southeastern Conference coaches teleconference. According to multiple reports, defensive back Denver Harris, wide receiver Chris Marshall and offensive lineman PJ Williams were suspended indefinitely earlier this week. "We're not speaking on that right now," Fisher said. "We keep everything we do in-house and our own deals and what's going on inside, we keep it internal."

The suspensions, first reported by TexAgs.com's Billy Liucci, would be the second of the season for Harris and Marshall. They along with freshmen wide receiver Evan Stewart and defensive back Smoke Bouie were suspended prior to the Miami game. Following that game, Fisher said the suspensions were due to a violation of team rules. "It was [disappointing]... I know that we'll move on and we'll handle it the way we need to handle it," Fisher said after the 17-9 victory on Sept. 17. Marshall has 11 receptions for 108 yards in three starts this season. Nery Enriquez kicked a 47-yard field goal with 4:51 left in the first quarter to give the Huskies a 3-0 lead, but Eric Rodriguez answered with a 15-yard pass to Andrew Armstrong to make it 7-3 at intermission after each team punted six times in the first half.

Emmanuel Adagbon connected on a 49-yard field goal with 10:24 left in the third quarter and, on Houston Christian's first play from scrimmage on their next possession, Noble added his pick-six to make it 17-3. Cameron Nellor scored on a six-yard run and J.T. Smith added a 14-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Taylen Green and George Holani each had more than 100 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns, and Boise State shut out San Diego State in the second half and rolled to a 35-13 victory over San Diego State on Friday night. It was Boise State's first game without former starting quarterback Hank Bachmeier, who entered the transfer portal on Tuesday, and former offensive coordinator Tim Plough, who was fired after last week's 27-10 loss to UTEP. Former Boise State head coach Dirk Koetter is now the Broncos offensive coordinator. Bachmeier started 29 games over a four-year career, throwing for more than 6,600 yards and 41 touchdowns. Yet he completed a career-low 54% of his passes for fewer than 500 yards in four games this season.

Green finished with 105 yards rushing on eight carries and completed 5 of 10 passes for 48 yards with one interception. Holani had 131 yards rushing on 17 carries. The Aztecs jumped out to a 13-0 halftime lead before Green ran for a 17-yard touchdown. Holani's 12-yarder gave the Broncos the lead for good. Green's 39-yard TD run stretched the Broncos' lead to 28-13, and Holani capped the scoring with a 29-yard scoring run. Ashton Jeanty added 82 yards rushing that included a 32-yard touchdown for Boise State (3-2, 2-0 Mountain West Conference). Tyrell Shavers had a 36-yard punt return for a touchdown midway through the second quarter for San Diego State (2-3, 0-1).
