South Florida Football   KJ Cooper threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns and Texas Southern rallied then held off Southern for a 35-30 win on Saturday. Cam'Ron McCoy ended an eight-play, 64-yard drive with a 5-yard scoring run with 3:10 remaining to get Southern within the final score. The Jaguars forced Texas Southern (5-5, 4-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference) to punt after close to three minutes, but with just seconds remaining the Jaguars' offense ran out of time.

Southern led 24-14 before the Tigers staged their comeback. Lawrence Butler ran it in from the 2 to reduce the deficit to 24-21. On the following kickoff, Texas Southern recovered a Southern fumble to take possession. That led to an eight-play, 57-yard drive that ended with Cooper throwing a 3-yard touchdown to Kordell Rodgers for a 28-24 margin. With 7:43 left, Cooper threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Williams for an 11-point lead.   Nevada Football   Carter Jones threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns and Caleb Ramseur ran for 128 yards and a touchdown and Nevada was never challenged in a 55-10 win over San Jose State on Saturday. Jones completed 16 of 19 and Ramseur amassed his rushing total in 20 carries. It was the defensive side of the ball, however, that got the Wolfpack (2-8, 1-5 Mountain West) going when Nakian Jackson intercepted Walker Eget and ran it back 66 yards for the game's first score. It was the first of three interceptions for Eget. Three minutes later, Jones threw a 7-yard touchdown to Chubba Purdy for a two-touchdown lead. Nevada pushed the lead to 31-0 at halftime. Tama Amisone's 12-yard scoring run with 1:23 left in the game was the Spartans' (3-7, 2-4) only touchdown.   Georgia Football   Gunner Stockton threw four touchdown passes - two to Noah Thomas - and ran for a score to outplay Arch Manning as No. 5 Georgia strengthened its postseason standing by overwhelming No. 10 Texas 35-10 on Saturday night for its sixth straight victory. After Texas trimmed Georgia's lead to 14-10 in the third quarter, Stockton's 30-yard touchdown pass to London Humphreys, followed by a successful onside kick, allowed the Bulldogs to put the game away. Stockton's 6-yard scoring pass to Lawson Luckie following the recovery of the kick iced the win. Stockton added a 4-yard scoring run late in the game. With No. 4 Alabama's 23-21 loss to No. 11 Oklahoma earlier Saturday, Georgia (9-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) could move into position for a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs also boosted their hopes of defending their SEC championship. The Bulldogs claimed a 22-19 overtime win over the Longhorns in last year's SEC championship game in Atlanta following a win at Texas earlier in the season. Georgia's win in the Longhorns' first visit to Athens gave the Bulldogs three wins in two years in the series. Texas (7-3, 4-2) saw its four-game winning streak end, putting its playoff hopes in jeopardy.

Georgia has rolled since its 22-19 overtime home loss to Alabama on Sept. 27. That loss ended Georgia's 33-game home winning streak, which was the longest active streak in FBS. Texas linebacker Anthony Hill's interception of Stockton's pass midway through the third quarter gave the Longhorns the ball at the Georgia 36. The Bulldogs' first penalty, a pass interference call against Zion Branch on a third-down play, set up Manning's 7-yard scoring pass to Ryan Wingo. The Longhorns' first touchdown trimmed Georgia's lead to 14-10. Georgia answered with a 10-play touchdown drive capped by Stockton's 30-yard scoring pass to London Humphreys. The Bulldogs covered a fourth-and-1 play on Stockton's 10-yard pass to Chauncey Bowens and survived another fourth down when Longhorns outside linebacker Colin Simmons was called for an offsides penalty. Georgia coach Kirby Smart kept gambling by calling the onside kick recovered by Cash Jones. Stockton completed 24 of 29 passes for 229 yards. His interception was only his third of the season. Manning, who said this week he considered signing with Georgia until the end of his recruitment, completed 27 of 43 passes for 251 yards with one touchdown and one interception. - Georgia/AP College Football

Mississippi Football   Kewan Lacy rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score on the first play of the fourth quarter, and No. 6 Mississippi rallied past Florida 34-24 on Saturday night. The Rebels (10-1, 6-1 Southeastern Conference, No. 7 CFP) finally put the Gators away with 1:43 left on Lacy's 31st and final carry, a 4-yard touchdown. Ole Miss took over on downs after Florida went for it on fourth-and-9 at its own 4, and Sage Ryan broke up D.J. Lagway's desperation heave at midfield.

As coach Lane Kiffin's squad took a knee in the final minute, Ole Miss fans chanted "We want Lane!" in a bid to persuade their sought-after coach not to bolt for another school - possibly Florida. And Lacy celebrated with a postgame slam dunk on a portable basketball goal at midfield. The Rebels have won at least 10 games in four of the past five seasons, including three straight, and this victory solidified their chances to make the College Football Playoff. Florida (3-7, 2-5) has lost 20 consecutive games away from Gainesville against ranked opponents since beating Georgia in 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. That streak will extend to 2026 since the Gators' final two games are at home. - Mississippi/AP College Football

Penn State Football   James Peoples scored two touchdowns, Lorenzo Styles Jr. had a 100-yard kickoff return and top-ranked Ohio State rolled to a 48-10 victory over UCLA on Saturday night. The Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) scored on their first five possessions against a Bruins' squad that was without quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who missed the game due to a concussion. Peoples had the highlight play of the game on his 19-yard touchdown with 1:19 remaining in the first half. On first-and-10, he took Julian Sayin's handoff and went around right end. Peoples hurdled over UCLA defensive back Cole Martin at the 10 and landed at the 7 as he didn't break stride and reached the end zone for the first time this season. The sophomore added an 8-yard score late in the fourth quarter.

After Kwazi Gilmer's 18-yard TD reception put UCLA (3-7, 3-4) on the board late in the third quarter, Styles went coast to coast for Ohio State's first kick return score since 2010. Styles fielded it near the goal line on the right corner, ran to his left and had a wide opening at the Ohio State 20 as he went untouched and extended Ohio State's lead to 41-7. It was the Buckeyes' first 100-yard kick return since Ted Ginn at Minnesota in 2005. Sayin completed 23 of 31 passes for 184 yards and a TD on a night when he was mostly without his top two targets. Sophomore star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith was listed as questionable on the pregame availability report due to an undisclosed injury and junior Carnell Tate missed a second straight game due to lower leg tightness. Smith saw limited action in the first half and had four receptions for 40 yards, including a one-handed, 18-yard catch on the opening possession. Sayin completed his first 11 passes and was 18 of 21 in the first half, including an 11-yard touchdown to Bryson Rodgers with 4:50 remaining in the second quarter to extend the Buckeyes' lead to 17-0. Bo Jackson led an Ohio State rushing attack that had 222 yards, including a season-high 147 in the first half. The freshman, who finished with 112 yards on 15 carries, opened the scoring with a 1-yard run up the middle. Isaiah West also scored for the Buckeyes. Luke Duncan completed 16 of 23 passes for 154 yards in his first collegiate start. UCLA finally got into Ohio State territory with 1:44 remaining in the third quarter on Rico Flores' 51-yard catch and run to the Buckeyes 19. - Ohio State/AP College Football

Baylor (5-5, 3-4) had 563 total yards but lost for the third time in four games. Ficklin's even rushing TDs are the most for a Utah freshman quarterback. He started against Colorado last month when Dampier was out, and set a Utah QB rushing record with 151 yards in a 53-7 win. He broke that with his 166 yards on six carries against the Bears. The young QB from Muskogee, Oklahoma, took his first snap early in the second quarter, faked a handoff and then went through a gap over the left side for a 67-yard sprint to the end zone and a 21-7 lead. Midway through the third quarter, he got loose again, this time to the right side for 74 yards to make it 35-20.
