Frank Harris threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 49 yards and another score, lifting No. 23 UTSA to its second-straight Conference USA championship with a 48-27 victory over North Texas on Friday night at the Alamodome. UTSA knocked off North Texas for the second time in six weeks. In a game on Oct. 21, it took Harris' 10-yard pass to De'Corian Clark with 15 seconds remaining to give UTSA a 31-27 victory. Not wanting a repeat of its regular-season finale a week earlier in which UTSA found itself in a 24-0 hole against UTEP, the team came out firing from the start, scoring on the opening possession. After falling behind 10-7, the Roadrunners reeled off 17 unanswered points, including 10 in the final 1:12 of the first half to take a 24-10 lead at the break and never trailed again.

Harris and the offense, which has scored at least 30 points in 12 of 13 games this season, kept the pressure on, rolling up 571 yards of total offense. Harris had scoring passes of 32, 14, and 39 yards to senior Zakhari Franklin, and his fourth - a 16-yard toss to junior tight end Oscar Cardenas - sealed the victory with 4:07 left. Junior quarterback Austin Aune, who engineered a scoring drive that got North Texas within 34-27 early in fourth quarter, threw for 194 yards and score, but was picked off twice. The Roadrunners, who ran the table in conference play this season, improved to 11-2 and will await a bowl invitation. Projections include a potential bid from the New Orleans Bowl. North Texas fell to 7-6 and is bowl-eligible. - UTSA/AP College Football

Texas A&M quarterback Haynes King entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer Friday, with freshman cornerback Denver Harris also announcing on Twitter that he will enter the portal. King threw for 1,220 yards, 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in six games this season for the Aggies. He was the No. 46 prospect in the 2020 class out of Longview, Texas, and signed with the Aggies with plenty of fanfare surrounding his college potential. He redshirted his first season in 2020 and started the first two games in 2021 before suffering a season-ending injury. King once again started the opener in 2022 but had a roller-coaster season that included another injury. - ESPN.com

2022 ALL-ACC FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM: QB - Jordan Travis, Florida State, 98 votes,...Travis, from West Palm Beach, is one of four players from FSU's high-powered offense on the second team. Travis passed for 2,796 yards with 22 touchdowns and ran for 481 yards with seven touchdowns. With his receiving touchdown at Syracuse, he is just the fourth quarterback in FSU history to account for 30 touchdowns and 3,000 total yards in a season, joining Heisman Trophy winners Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke and Jameis Winston. Travis leads the ACC and is ninth nationally with 14.05 yards per completion, while ranking 12th in the country with 8.88 yards per attempt. He is on a current streak of six consecutive games with at least three total touchdowns and one or fewer turnover, the longest streak in Florida State history and tied with USC's Caleb Williams for the longest active streak in the country.

At Syracuse, Travis accounted for all five of FSU's touchdowns - three passing, one rushing and one receiving. He is just the second player in FSU history - and one of four nationally this season - with a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game. A semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien Award, Travis set a career high with 396 passing yards against Georgia Tech, which began FSU's current five-game winning streak. He ranks in FSU's Top 10 for career passing touchdowns (43) and rushing touchdowns (24), the only player in the Top 10 in both categories. - Florida State Football

Ohio State running back Miyan Williams is a junior and eligible to go to the NFL, but he'd unlikely to be a high draft pick. He and TreVeyon Henderson could be a formidable duo if they can stay healthy. It's always possible that one could transfer if unhappy with sharing the workload. Dallan Hayden proved capable of handling a significant role. The Buckeyes also should get a boost from the return of Evan Pryor from an ACL injury. He's particularly a threat as a pass-catcher. - Columbus Dispatch
