Having already added a receiver and safety, the team addressed their concerns a t inside linebacker with Clemson's Anthony Waters. Waters tore his ACL in the first game of the 2006 season, but recently proved his rehabilitation is going smoothly with an impressive workout. Previous to the injury Waters had been ranked as one of the elite linebackers in the draft. (Compensatory Pick) 34 97 Ray McDonald DE Florida DRAFTSCOUT SAYS: Ignoring needs along the defensive line early in the draft, the 49ers added versatile defensive lineman Ray McDonald with the 97th pick. McDonald, at 6-4, 282 pounds, has the size and strength to contribute at defensive end and played this position, as well as defensive tackle while with the Gators. (Compensatory Pick) 35 98 Quinn Pitcock DT Ohio State DRAFTSCOUT SAYS: A good late first-day value for the Colts, who watched Montae Reagor leave and Corey Simon’s future with the team uncertain. Pitcock doesn’t wow with his workout numbers, but he’s a run stuffer with a good bull rush. A s mart player with good instincts, he has a chance to make an impact as a rookie. (Compensatory Pick) 36 99 Johnnie Lee Higgins WR Texas-El Paso DRAFTSCOUT SAYS: The Raiders have always liked speed, and they closed out the first day with one of the draft’s most explosive receivers. Higgins is rough around the edges as a receiving prospect, but adds immediate value as a returner. (Compensatory Pick) Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7 Team Draft Picks...
