2019 ALL-GLIAC FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Will Ark, Michigan Tech, Jr, P, Green Bay, Wis,...Ark, a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, had an excellent season at quarterback and also did the bulk of the punting for the Huskies in 2019. Ark wrapped up th e season with 128 completions for 1,631 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games. Ark finished second in the GLIAC in passing yards per game with 203.9 and tied for fourth in the conference with 10 touchdown passes. On the ground, Ark tacked on two additio nal touchdowns and averaged 22.3 yards per game on the ground in 2019. In the punting department, Ark closed the season averaging 41.3 yards per punt with 13 dropping inside the opponents 20-yard line out of 33 total punt attempts. His per punt average i s a new single season school record. - Michigan Tech Football

SEPT 30 GLIAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Will Ark, Michigan Tech,...Junior quarterback/punter Will Ark had an outstanding game punting the football Saturday against Grand Valley State. Ark punted the ball eight times for 385 total yards, which was only six yards shy of Tech's single game school record of 391 yards set by Ryan Ostach against Hillsdale on September 9, 1998. Ark averaged 48.1 yards per punt, including a season long kick of 63 yards on Saturday.Five of his eight punts landed i nside the 20-yard line and one kick was a fair catch. Ark's ability to pin the Lakers' offense deep in their own end of the field kept their offense off balance for a good portion of the game. In addition to punting, Ark completed 15 passes for 111 yards and added 16 yards on four carries from the quarterback position.
