  Quinton Williams threw two touchdown passes and Howard claimed a share of the MEAC regular-season championship, defeating Morgan State 35-6 on Saturday. The Bison (5-6, 4-1) finished tied with North Carolina Central for first place but North Carolina Central won the head-to-head matchup with Howard and claimed the league's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. Howard's first-place finish is the first for the Bison since 1993. Williams completed 17 of 24 passes for 241 yards. Alfonzo Graham had 111 yards rushing for the Bears (4-7, 2-3), but Morgan State quarterbacks Roderick Walker and Duce Taylor combined to go only 8-for-25 passing for 67 yards. - AP College Football

  OCT 31 MEAC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Howard University senior quarterback Quinton Williams (QB, 6-5, 200, Sr., Upper Marlboro, Md.) ended the day with four total touchdowns in a road victory against Norfolk State. He completed 17 of 22 attempts through the air, ending the day with three touchdown passes. He also ran for an additional touchdown and accumulated 57 rushing yards in total. - MEAC Football

  Quinton Williams engineered seven touchdowns over the final three quarters and Howard thundered past Norfolk State for a 49-21 victory in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action on Saturday. The Bison (3-5, 2-0) staked Norfolk State to a 7-0 lead after one quarter, then outscored the Spartans 49-14 the rest of the way. Williams passed to Antoine Murray to tie the game early in the second quarter and Kasey Hawthorne scored from the 3 with :25 left in the second to take a 14-7 lead at intermission. Eden James ran 66 yards for a score to make it 28-14 after three quarters and Williams ran in from the 11 and passed 28 yards to Matthew McDonald in the fourth quarter. Williams finished 17 of 22 for 171 yards and three touchdowns with an interception and had 39 yards and a score on nine carries. Otto Kuhns ran for a touchdown and passed for a second in the fourth quarter, and Jordin Lennon raced 67 yards for a third-quarter touchdown for Norfolk State (1-7, 1-2). - Howard/AP College Football

  Quinton Williams threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third, Kasey Hawthorne ran 75 yards and Jarrett Hunter 74 for touchdowns and Howard routed Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference co-leader Delaware State, 35-17, to snap a two-game losing streak and earn just its second win of the season on Saturday. Delaware State came into the game with a 4-2 record, its best mark through the first six games since 2007, and having won its MEAC opener for the first time since 2014 and its first official conference road win over that same span. The Hornets also came in having won three straight meetings with the Bison.

Jonathan Cardoza-Chicas kicked a 51-yard field goal in the first quarter to put Delaware State on the board first, but Williams answered with a 6-yard toss to Nah'Shawn Hezekiah and Hawthorn broke off his touchdown run to give the Bison a 14-3 lead after a quarter and the lead held up at intermission. Williams threw 14 yards to Matthew McDonald to start the third quarter and scored on a 6-yard run to make it 28-3 heading into the fourth. Marquis Gillis got the Hornets into the end zone in the fourth quarter, scoring on a 31-yard run, but Hunter answered with his long run on the second play of Howard's next possession. Thomas Bertrand-Hudon punched in from the 2 in the final minute to set the final score. Williams was 11-of-17 passing for 110 yards and the Bison ground game posted 266 yards on 40 carries. C.J.   Quinton Williams threw for 337 yards and two touchdowns, including a 97-yarder, Faraji Woodson added a pair of field goals and Howard blanked Morgan State 27-0 on Friday night. The Bison (2-4, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) are on a two-game win streak for the first time since the 2018 season. Morgan State (0-5, 0-1) had an apparent 76-yard touchdown run by Alonzo Graham in the first half negated by a holding penalty and also saw a 41-yard field goal attempt miss. Woodson, a sophomore, surpassed 300 yards passing for the second time in his career. He racked up 357 in a loss to Hampton last month.

The Bison broke an otherwise scoreless first half with a 35-yard field goal by Woodso n with 13 seconds left on the clock. Five minutes into the second half, Woodson found Antoine Murray on the 97-yarder. Early in the fourth quarter, Woodson hit Richie Ilaraza from the 9. Ian Wheeler completed the scoring with a 20-yard touchdown run, capping a 13-play, 55-yard drive. Murray had four catches for 171 yards. - AP College Football

  Quinton Williams threw three touchdown passes including a 38-yarder to Kasey Hawthorne with just over two minutes remaining to lift Howard to its first win of the season, 22-17 over Sacred Heart on Saturday. Hawthorne leaped to make the catch against tight coverage at the 5-yard line then stumbled backward into the end zone. The Bison (1-4) failed on a two-point conversion try but their defense held off the Pioneers (2-3). Faraji Woodson's field goal gave Howard an early lead but Sacred Heart scored the next 17 points before Williams threw an 18-yard pass to Matthew McDonald for a touchdown. The PAT failed and Sacred Heart led 17-9 at halftime. Williams threw a 29-yard score to McDonald to cut the deficit to two in the third quarter. Sacred Heart's points came on short touchdown runs by Marquez McCray and Jalen Madison plus a field goal by Ricky Lancaster. - AP College Football

  Quinton Williams hit Michael Cornwell on an 8-yard touchdown toss in the final seconds of the game and Howard then held off a Morgan State charge to claim a 20-15 victory on Saturday. Cornwell scored with 39 seconds remaining in the game. The Bears then drove to Howard's 30 with three seconds left. DeAndre Harris threw into the end zone where the ball was batted down on the final play of the game, allowing Howard to escape with just its second victory of the season.

Williams threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and Dedrick Parson rushed for 170 yards and another score for Howard (2-10, 2-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). The Bison had lost seven straight coming into the season finale for both teams. Howard took its first lead when Williams hit Kyle Anthony from the 6 for a 14-8 advantage with 7:24 left in the third. The Bears answered to retake the lead 15-14 when E'Munn Parker ran it from the 7 with 3:16 remaining in the game. The Bears (3-9, 2-6) were led by Harris who threw for 245 yards and one touchdown.
