Head coach Mack Brown announced yesterday during his press conference that the UNC football program will be without Sebastian Cheeks for the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury, more specifically a shoulder injury. Cheeks was not in unifo rm for the team's victory over Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon. Prior to suffering the injury, the Skokie, Illinois native played in 3 games, registering three total tackles.This is a rather big blow to the Tar Heels, as not only does it impac t their linebacker depth, but also hurts them on special teams. The freshman was making a push to earn more time on the field with the defensive unit, but this injury, unfortunately, sidelined him before that could happen. For Cheeks, he'll still have th e ability to use a redshirt season, given that he did not play in four or more contests.
