TRADE NOTES
Patriots 2022 Draft History
1 10 10  *Jerod Mayo ILB Tennessee (From Saints)
Draft Scout Says: The first real surprise of the draft came with the Patriots taking linebacker Jerod Mayo. Inside linebacker was arguably the Patriots biggest area of concern, considering the age of Tedy Bruschi and potential retirement of Junior Seau. Mayo is certainly a bit of a reach, but with the Denver Broncos at #12 and Detroit Lions at #15 also thought to be quite high on the versatile linebacker, Mayo's stock was on the rise.
Falcons 2022 Draft History
2 6 37  *Curtis Lofton ILB Oklahoma
Draft Scout Says: The Falcons may be a team in transition, but the players they're picking are the types of guys capable of building around. With their first two picks on the offensive side of the ball, middle linebacker Curtis Lofton steps in as a new face for the defense. Instinctive, physical, and athletic, Lofton should make an immediate impact.
Ravens 2022 Draft History
3 8 71  Tavares Gooden ILB Miami (From Jaguars through Bills for DT Marcus Stroud)
Draft Scout Says: Did the Ravens return to Miami to find their ultimate replacement for former Cane star, Ray Lewis? Experienced at all three linebacker positions, Gooden struggled with injuries early, but was a dominant performer in the middle as a senior.
Panthers 2022 Draft History
3 11 74  Dan Connor ILB Penn State
Draft Scout Says: When healthy, Dan Morgan provided Carolina with great instincts, physicality, and reliable open field tackling in the middle. Dan Connor will prove to be an early second day steal as he proves capable of filling a similar role for the Panthers early in his career.
Colts 2022 Draft History
3 30 93  Philip Wheeler ILB Georgia Tech
Draft Scout Says: The Colts love explosive linebackers and in Phillip Wheeler, they're getting just that. Wheeler entered his senior season as a potential first round prospect, but struggled as a senior. Blessed with size, physicality, and a knack for rushing the quarterback, he has the physical tools that fits in nicely with the Indianapolis' scheme.
Browns 2022 Draft History
4 5 104  Beau Bell ILB UNLV (From Cowboys through Raiders)
Draft Scout Says: With their first pick of the 2008 draft the Browns took the perfect inside linebacker for their system. Suffering a leg injury at the Senior Bowl, Bell was disappointing in workouts and slipped to the 4th round because of it. However, considering his size, physicality, and ability to get off blocks and make the explosive hit, Bell is a similar prospect, at this point in his career as Andra Davis.
Jags 2022 Draft History
5 22 155  Thomas Williams ILB Southern Cal (From Browns through Cowboys)
Giants 2022 Draft History
5 32 165  Jonathan Goff ILB Vanderbilt
Broncos 2022 Draft History
6 17 183  Spencer Larsen ILB Arizona (Broncos acquired pick from Texans for C Chris Myers, March 17, 2008.)
Eagles 2022 Draft History
6 34 200  Joe Mays ILB North Dakota State (Compensatory)
