  Goose Crowder threw three touchdown passes to lead Troy to a 28-18 victory over Southern Miss on Saturday night in a Sun Belt Conference regular-season finale. Crowder's 7-yard touchdown pass to RaRa Thomas capped an 11-play, 85 yard drive that chewed up about five minutes and stretched the Trojans' lead to 21-10 with 6:58 remaining in the fourth quarter. The pair also connected on a 75-yard touchdown with 3:16 to play.

Crowder completed 24 of 34 passes for 285 yards. He also had a 16-yard touchdown pass to Peyton Higgins just before halftime. Thomas finished with five catches for 118 yards. Tae Meadows added 94 yards rushing on 21 carries that included a short-yardage TD run in the first quarter. Braylon Braxton was 20-of-35 passing for 209 yards with a touchdown pass and interception for Southern Miss. Carl Chester had four receptions for 76 yards and a 10-yard touchdown catch. Tight end Kadinn Morris recovered Jeffery Pittman's fumbled ball in the end zone late in the third quarter that pulled the Golden Eagles to 14-10.   Goose Crowder was 27-of-43 passing for 361 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions on Saturday night to help Troy beat Georgia State 31-19. Troy (7-4, 5-2 Sun Belt Conference) plays at Southern Miss next Saturday and the winner will advance to the conference championship game on Dec. 5. DJ Epps had eight receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns and Ethan Conner added 85 yards receiving and two TDs on three catches for the Trojans. Conner caught a 26-yard scoring strike from Crowder that made it 10-3 late in the first quarter and added a 39-yard touchdown in the third quarter that gave Troy a 17-6 lead.

Georgia State responded with a 12-play, 75-yard drive that took nearly six minutes off the clock and culminated when Branson Robinson ran it in from the 4 to trim its deficit to 17-12 after a failed 2-point try. Epps had touchdown receptions of 10 and 35 yards in the fourth quarter. Christian Veilleux was 19-of-38 passing for 307 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Panthers. Javon Robinson had seven receptions for 146 yards, which included a 17-yard touchdown. Georgia State (1-10, 0-7) has lost eight in a row. - Troy/AP College Football

  Tucker Kilcrease and Jordan Lovett each had a pair of touchdown runs to lead Troy past Louisiana-Lafayette 35-23 on Saturday night for its fifth straight win. Tony Sterner kicked a 31-yard field goal late in the third quarter and a 32-yarder with 7:08 to play in the fourth to get Louisiana-Lafayette within 28-23. On the ensuing drive, Lovett broke loose on 19-yard run with 2:55 remaining for his second touchdown that capped a seven-play, 75-yard drive.

Kilcrease was 16-of-24 passing for 180 yards with one interception for Troy (6-2, 4-0 Sun Belt Conference). He added 25 yards on the ground and scored on runs from 8 and 2 yards in the first half. Lovett finished with 113 yards rushing on 21 carries that included a short-yardage touchdown run midway through the third. Jaquez White had a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown for the Trojans that knotted it 14-all midway through the second. Lunch Winfield completed 12 of 22 passes for 187 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Louisiana-Lafayette (2-6, 1-3). He also ran 23 times for 139 of the Ragin' Cajuns 184 yards rushing.   Tray Taylor accounted for two touchdowns, and Troy scored the final 20 points to beat Louisiana-Monroe 37-14 on Saturday for its third straight win. UL Monroe pulled to 17-14 with 9:40 left in the third quarter. Taylor answered with an 11-yard touchdown run sandwiched between a pair of Scott Taylor Renfroe 41- and 26-yard field goals. Joe Lott's 53-yard pick-6 for Troy (5-2, 3-0 Sun Belt Conference) ended the scoring with 7:30 remaining. Taylor also caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Tucker Kilcrease late in the second quarter. Taylor finished with two catches for 89 yards and added 20 yards rushing. Kilcrease was 13-of-21 passing for 223 yards for the Trojans. Following Troy's seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive to open the second half, McAteer executed a perfect onside kick with a ball that caromed off a Texas State player and back into the hands of a Trojan. The Brantley, Ala., native's five touchdown passes are tied for the second-most in Trojans program history, while his 415 passing yards were the seventh-most in a single game for Troy. Kilcrease led Troy back from a 21-0 first quarter deficit en route to its second-straight overtime win.   Tucker Kilcrease passed for 415 yards and five touchdowns and Troy rallied to beat Texas State 48-41 in overtime on Saturday night. Kilcrease tossed a 2-yard touchdown pass to Trae Swartz early in the fourth quarter to pull Troy to 41-33 and then threw an 18-yard TD pass to DJ Epps that tied it 41-all with 1:13 remaining in regulation. Texas State's Tyler Robles missed a 42-yard field-goal attempt to force overtime. Kilcrease and Epps connected on a 6-yard touchdown to open the extra period. Texas State's Brad Jackson was stuffed for no gain on fourth-and-1 from the 16 to end it.

Troy (3-2, 1-0 Sun Belt Conference) trailed 31-14 late in the second quarter before Paddy McAteer's 53-yard field goal pulled the Trojans to 31-17 at the break. Kilcrease finished 30-of-39 passing and Epps had 10 catches for 148 yards. RaRa Thomas added 81 yards receiving with a touchdown for the Trojans. Jackson Worley also had a TD catch. Jackson completed 19 of 22 passes for 248 yards and had 77 yards rushing on 18 carries with a touchdown. Burrell added 136 yards rushing and a touchdown for Texas State (3-3, 0-2). The Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., native had three punts of 50-or-more yards and three punts land inside the 20-yard line.   Tae Meadows rushed up the middle for a 20-yard touchdown with 45 seconds remaining and Troy scored all its points in the fourth quarter to beat Buffalo 21-17 on Saturday. Tucker Kilcrease rushed for a 6-yard TD to complete a 14-play, 75-yard drive to get the Trojans (2-2) on the scoreboard then threw a 10-yard scoring pass to RaRa Thomas to trail 17-13 with six minutes to go. Troy went three-and-out on its next possession but got the ball back with 2:33 remaining on the 50. Nine plays later Meadows scored the go-ahead points.

Buffalo (2-2) reached the Troy 28 with eight seconds left but a fourth-and-1 pass into the end zone by Gunnar Gray was batted down. Gray played the rest of the way for starting quarterback Ta'Quan Roberson who left with a lower-leg injury in the third quarter after Al-Jay Henderson had put the Bulls up 14-0 with a 22-yard run. James McNeil finished a 71-yard drive with a 1-yard score in the first quarter and a 7-0 halftime lead. Jack Howes' 39-yard field goal made it 17-0 at the start of the fourth quarter. Kilcrease was 14-of-24 passing for 148 yards and he rushed for 50 more. RaRa Thomas had five catches for 78 yards. Roberson was 9-of-15 passing for 104 yards and Gray 5 of 13 for 49. The Oneonta, Ala., product forced a fumble on a 4th-and-2 attempt deep in Trojan territory to set up a Troy field goal. Hodge also deflected a pass at the line of scrimmage that was intercepted and returned four yards for a pick six to give the Trojans a 16-0 lead.   Goose Crowder threw two touchdowns and rushed for another in the fourth quarter as Troy pulled away late to beat Nicholls 38-20 on Saturday evening in a season opener for both teams. Troy poured on 272 rushing yards as a team, as Tae Meadows led the pack with 186 yards and a touchdown on 23 touches. Crowder tied the game with a 16-yard rushing score, then hit Tray Taylor for a 28-yard touchdown to give the Trojans their first lead in the fourth quarter.

Meadows broke free for a 47-yard run on the next possession, and Crowder capped the surge with a 5-yard scoring strike to Ethan Conner. The Trojans scored 21 unanswered. Crowder went 14 of 24 for the Trojans, accounting for 144 yards and three touchdowns. He added 43 yards and a score on the ground as well. Deuce Hogan went 21 of 27 with 184 yards, a touchdown and an interception as the Colonels put up only 249 yards of total offense.
