  12/23/25 - Sieh BangurarSr/2026, Ohio, 6-0, 216 (DS#21 RB) + More +

Sieh Bangura rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown and Ohio beat UNLV 17-10 on Tuesday night to win the Frisco Bowl. The Bobcats (9-4) have won their last seven bowl games - dating to 2017 - after losing eight of their first 10. Defensive coordinator and interim head coach John Hauser led Ohio to this victory after head coach Brian Smith was fired earlier in the month for having an affair with an undergraduate student. Ohio's Parker Navarro had a 5-yard touchdown run on a quarterback keeper five minutes into the second quarter for the only score of the first half. The lead was 6-0 after David Dellenbach's extra-point kick hit the right upright. UNLV (10-4) had a first down on the Bobcats' 33-yard line with 32 second left, but DJ Walker picked off an Anthony Colandrea pass in the end zone to keep it 6-0.

Bangura scored on a 23-yard run less than four minutes into the third quarter, and Navarro passed to Chase Hendricks for the two-point conversion and a 14-0 lead. Hendricks muffed a punt at the end of UNLV's first possession and Kayden McGee recovered at the Ohio 30. The Rebels settled for a career-long 50-yard field goal by Ramon Villela to cut it to 14-3. Dellenbach kicked a 45-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter, but Colandrea scored on a fourth-and-goal run from the 2 to get the Rebels within 17-10 with 4:45 remaining. UNLV never got the ball back in falling to 4-4 all time in bowl games. Navarro completed 11 of 15 passes for 143 yards with an interception. Bangura did his damage on 19 carries. Colandrea totaled 184 yards on 19-for-30 passing. UNLV had the nation's longest run of scoring at least 20 points end at 35 games. - Ohio/AP College Football

  11/28/25 - Parker NavarrorSr/2026, Ohio, 6-0, 211 (DS#28 QB) + More +

Parker Navarro had 268 yards of total offense, Sieh Bangura added 120 yards rushing, and Ohio stayed alive in the chase for the MAC championship game, defeating Buffalo 31-26 on Friday. Ohio (8-4, 6-2 Mid-American Conference) needs Ball State (3-4) to defeat Miami (5-2) on Saturday in order to have a shot at making the conference championship game. Miami is heavily favored. A Miami loss would leave Ohio tied for second place with the winner of the Saturday matchup between Central Michigan (5-2) and Toledo (5-2). In that scenario, the final tiebreaker would go to the team with the higher Team Rating from SportSource Analytics. Western Michigan (7-1) has clinched first place.

Against Buffalo, Navarro passed for 147 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He had 121 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Bangura had a rushing touchdown. Led by the two 100-yard rushers, Ohio had 359 yards on the ground. Navarro threw two touchdown passes in the first half and the Bobcats took a 21-7 halftime lead. His 6-yard scoring run in the third quarter made it 28-13. A 58-yard pass from Ta'Quan Roberson to Victor Snow helped set up Roberson's 5-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. The two-point try to get the Bulls within seven points failed and Ohio led 28-19. Roberson's 29-yad TD pass to Jesaiah Gathings made it 31-26 but the Bulls did not cross midfield on their final possession. Roberson had 270 yards passing and Nik McMillan caught five passes for 122 yards for Buffalo (5-7, 4-4). - Ohio/AP College Football

Myles Thomason added a 1-yard touchdown run and totaled 73 rushing yards, while his 64-yard punt return set up Reed's longest kick. UNH finished with 396 yards and controlled possession until the fourth quarter. Maine (6-6, 5-3) nearly stole the game behind Carter Peevy, who threw for 180 yards and ran for 114 more. He scored on a 2-yard keeper in the second and threw a 12-yard strike to Trevin Ewing early in the third. After Rashawn Marshall's 9-yard run cut the deficit to six with 9:39 left, the Black Bears had one more answer: Peevy broke a 62-yard touchdown with 39 seconds remaining, but the blocked PAT left the margin at six. Maine recovered its onside kick but was flagged for illegal touching, allowing UNH to kneel out the final seconds. The Black Bears were undone by two interceptions and a Wildcats' 24-point second quarter. - AP College Football
