Two SEC defensive backs announced they would be transferring to the Bulldogs as Vanderbilt cornerback Elijah Hamilton and Tennessee defensive back Baylen Buchanan made announcements on Twitter. Tech picked up two players with more than 60 total games of experience, and the added bonus of the playing time in college football's top conference. Both are graduate transfers and will use their final year of eligibility in Ruston in 2021.

Both are sons of former NFL players. Elijah Hamilton's father is Ruffin Hamilton, who was a linebacker for the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons. Baylen Buchanan's dad is Ray Buchanan, who spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Falcons and Oakland Raiders and was a two-time Pro Bowler. Elijah Hamilton appeared in 33 games with the Commodores in three seasons and put together his best statistical season in 2020 with 24 tackles and three pass breakups. A three-star recruit out of Blessed Trinity Catholic School in Roswell, Georgia, he considered Army and Navy but ultimately signed with Vanderbilt in 2016. - Monroe News Star

Kellton Hollins, a senior center from Lousiana, announced Monday via Twitter that he will enter the transfer portal. Hollins played in seven of the Frogs 10 games this season including one start against West Virginia. What made Hollins a standout player was not necessarily what he did on the field but what he did off of it. He was passionate about making a difference at TCU and leaving his mark on the campus which he did by heading a project where the words "END RACISM" were painted outside of TCU's football and basketball stadiums. He invited students, faculty and staff to sign their names on the mural. - Dallas Morning News
