  2019 ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): TE: Nick Diaco, Colgate, Sr.,...Diaco led all Raider pass-catchers with a 14.1-yard average. His 366 yards were second on the team and his 26 catches third. Diaco also tied for the team lead with two touchdown receptions, but he added to that total by running for a score and throwing for another. Diaco rushed 13 times for a 5.7-yard average, including a 27-yard TD burst at Georgetown. He was a perfect 1-of-1 passing on the strength of his 4-yard toss against Fordham. - Colgate Football

  2019 ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): LB: Nicholas Ioanelli, Colgate, Sr.,...Ioanilli led Colgate in tackles for the second time in the last three years. His 87 tackles were a career high, blowing past the 62 he accumulated in 2017 and the 56 he posted last year. For his career, Ioanilli finished with 214 tackles, of which 115 were solo stops (50 this year). Ioanilli this season compiled 6½ tackles-for-loss, including one sack, to go with a team-leading seven quarterback hurries. He added three pass-breakups and one forced fumble. - Colgate Football

Showing his versatility, Daramy-Swaray rushed five times for 20 yards and touchdown, and caught two passes for a 13-yard average.   Grant Breneman and Malik Twyman ran for touchdowns and Colgate defeated Lafayette 16-0 on Saturday, closing out the season with three consecutive conference wins. Colgate defeated Lafayette for the fifth consecutive time, the last three via shutout. The Raiders (4-8, 3-3 Patriot League) won despite picking up only 11 first downs and 224 yards on offense. Lafayette had 16 first downs and 242 yards on offense. The loss drops the Leopards (3-8, 3-2) out of a tie for first place in the conference. Holy Cross (4-1) defeated Fordham 49-27 and now has sole possession of first place. Breneman scored on a 1-yard run late in the first quarter for a 6-0 lead, Twyman had an 11-yard TD run in the third quarter and Chris Puzzi made a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. - AP College Football

  Tight end Nick Diaco threw his first touchdown pass and had a reception for a score and Colgate defeated Fordham 24-13 on Saturday. Diaco shifted into a wildcat formation at the Fordham 4, took the snap and started toward the line before throwing to the back of the end zone where Michael Kane gathered in the tipped pass for a 14-10 lead with 13 seconds left in the first half. Andrew Mevis' second field goal of the game cut the Raiders' lead to one before Grant Breneman threw 23 yards to Diaco for a 21-13 lead with just over four minutes left in the third quarter. Breneman was 15-of-28 passing for 195 yards and rushed 16 times for 105. The Raiders (3-8, 2/3 Patriot Football League) won their first home game this season after four losses. Ryan Greenhagen had 19 tackles, nine solo, for the Rams (3-7, 1-3), who have lost three straight. - AP College Football

  Nick Diaco, Alex Mathews and Abu Daramy-Swaray each ran for scores and Colgate cashed in on a fumble to win its first Patriot League game on Saturday, 24-14 over Georgetown. The Hoyas (5-4, 1-3) scored first on Gunther Johnson's 28-yard keeper, driving 76 yards in nine plays after Colgate missed a 41-yard field goal. But Diaco replied with a 28-yard keeper on fourth-and-1 to tie it at 7 at halftime before the Raiders (2-8, 1-3) cashed in on Jackson Saffold's fumble to set up Chris Puzzi's go-ahead 25-yard field goal in the third quarter. Daramy-Swaray's 36-yard punt return and Grant Breneman's 38-yard keeper set up Mathews' 1-yard TD run for a 17-7 lead in the third quarter, then Daramy-Swaray scored on an 11-yard run for a 24-7 lead. Johnson's 7-yard TD pass to Joshua Thomas in the fourth capped the scoring. Breneman was 12 of 19 for 93 yards passing and gained 70 yards on 18 carries.   Alex Mathews scored the winning touchdown late in the third quarter and Colgate stopped Cornell on downs with less than a minute to play, securing a 21-20 victory Saturday to halt a seven game, season-opening slide. Mathews led all rushers with 94 yards on nine carries. His touchdown run capped a 78-yard drive late in the third quarter, giving the Raiders (1-7) a 21-17 lead. Garrett Patta cut the gap to 21-20 with his 29-yard field goal after the Big Red stalled at the 11-yard line early in the fourth quarter. After that, Cornell (1-4) punted twice and its final drive, which ground 47 yards in 11 plays, ended when Richie Kenney passed incomplete on fourth-and-3 with 31 seconds left to play. Cornell had been 3 for 3 on fourth-down conversions to that point. Kenney passed for 268 yards. Jelani Taylor took a fumble recovery 87 yards for a Big Red score to end the first half trailing 14-7.
