  Ralph Rucker IV threw for a touchdown and rushed for another score, Brad Gerken sealed the game with an interception and Bucknell defeated Saint Francis 30-23 on Saturday night. Rucker had a 17-yard touchdown connection with TJ Cadden on the opening drive. He led a fourth-quarter drive to reclaim the lead from Saint Francis, finding Josh Gary for a two-point conversion after Tariq Thomas' 7-yard touchdown run. Thomas led Bucknell with 98 yards on 10 carries. Rucker had 168 yards through the air and 69 on the ground.

Rucker's two-point conversion came into play after kicker Matt Schearer missed the extra point following Rucker's third-quarter rushing score. Saint Francis moved the ball almost exclusively through the air and nearly mounted a comeback with the aerial assault. Nick Whitfield Jr. was 31 for 44 for 377 yards and a touchdown. He threw a game-sealing interception to Gerken on a second-and-goal that was snapped with seven seconds remaining. DJ Maultsby had 141 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine catches.   Ralph Rucker IV connected with Sam Milligan on a 37-yard touchdown with 1:49 remaining to lift Bucknell past VMI 35-28 on Saturday. Rucker passed for 405 yards and five touchdowns, and Milligan set career highs with seven receptions for 192 yards and four touchdowns. TJ Cadden had five catches for 123 yards and a touchdown for the Bison (2-1), who are off to their best start in a full season since 2015. Bucknell opened the scoring with a 45-yard pass from Rucker to Milligan midway through the first quarter, and did not trail for the rest of the game.

The Keydets (1-2) rallied to tie three times, but Bucknell answered each score to regain the lead. VMI tied the game with 5:26 to go, but Bucknell took the lead for good with a two-minute drill score. VMI's final drive was effectively ended with an 11-yard loss on third-and-20, but the Keydets got within 2 yards of the chains on fourth.   Tariq Thomas rushed for two touchdowns and Ralph Rucker IV passed for 246 yards and ran for a score as Bucknell defeated Marist 34-23 on Saturday. Thomas ran for 76 yards on 15 carries and had scores of 4 yards in first half and a 1 yard in the fourth quarter for the Bison (1-1). Rucker was 18-of-23 passing with an interception. TJ Cadden caught seven passes for 104 yards and his brother Michael had a rushing touchdown. Sam Milligan had five catches for 87 yards.

A 46-yard pass to TJ Cadden set up Thomas for a 1-yard score and a 27-17 lead at the start of the fourth quarter. Michael Cadden's 8-yard TD run made it 34-17 halfway through the final quarter. Sonny Mannio's 1-yard pass to Connor Hulstein cut Bucknell's lead to 17-14 at halftime. The teams exchanged field goals in the third quarter before Thomas' second TD. Mannio was 22 of 42 for 229 yards passing and he rushed for 96 yards and a TD for the Red Foxes (1-1). - AP College Football

  Nick Semptimphelter threw for a touchdown and ran for another and Bucknell rallied in the second half to beat Marist 24-13 on Saturday in a non-conference, season-ending game for both teams. Down 13-3 at halftime, Semptimphelter threw a 2-yard scoring pass to Rushawn Baker with 5:02 left in the third quarter. Semptimphelter ran it in from 10 yards out early in the fourth and Baker closed it out with a 6-yard touchdown run. Amin Woods ran for two touchdowns and 93 yards for Marist (4-7). Bucknell (3-8) finished with a two-game win streak, the first time the Bison have won back-to-back contests since their abbreviated spring season in 2020.   Matt Schearer made a 19-yard field goal with 18 seconds left and Bucknell won its first game of the season with a 19-17 victory over Lehigh on Saturday. Trailing 17-10, Nick Semptimphelter found Marques Owens on a deep ball to get to the 2-yard line and Rushawn Baker punched it in before the extra point was blocked. The Bison recovered the onside kick to get it back at the Lehigh 47 and Semptimphelter connected on another deep ball to Charlie Kreinbucher, setting up Schearer's make. Semptimphelter was 13 of 28 for 146 yards and Baker had two touchdowns. Bucknell (1-6, 1-2 Patriot) led 7-3 at halftime despite just two first downs and 38 total yards. The Bison defense forced three turnovers in the second quarter, with Alex Smith Jr. and Brent Jackson each intercepting a pass from different Lehigh quarterbacks. Smith's interception led to a 3-yard touchdown run by Baker. Dante Perri was 19 of 34 for 160 yards for Lehigh (1-7, 1-2). Geoffrey Jamiel had nine catches for 70 yards. - AP College Football

  Nick Semptimphelter threw a touchdown pass 36 seconds into the final quarter and added a 2-yard scoring run with 8:24 left to play to rally Bucknell to its first win of the season with a 21-10 victory over Cornell in nonconference play on Saturday. Cornell led 7-0 after the first quarter on Delonte Harrell's 3-yard TD run. The Bison (1-3) pulled even in the second quarter on Tyler Beverett's 1-yard scoring run. Scott Lees' 27-yard field goal was the only scoring in the third quarter, giving the Big Red (0-3) a 10-7 lead. Semptimphelter put Bucknell up for good early in the final quarter with a 4-yard TD toss to Christian Spugnardi and then wrapped up the win with 2-yard scoring run with 8:24 left to play. Semptimphelter completed 10 of 15 passes for 85 yards in relief of Beverett. Beverett was 6-of-9 passing for 61 yards. Ben Mays completed 19 of 28 passes for 256 yards with two interceptions in a start for Cornell. Backup Richie Kenney was 5-of-11 passing for 50 yards with one pick. - AP College Football
