  10/11/25 - Ty SimpsonrJr/2026, Alabama, 6-1, 211 (DS#2 QB) + More +

Ty Simpson threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns, including the clincher on fourth down to Daniel Hill with 3:16 to go, and eighth-ranked Alabama held off No. 14 Missouri 27-24 on Saturday to give the Crimson Tide their fifth consecutive win. Jam Miller added 85 yards rushing before leaving with an injury in the fourth quarter, and Kevin Riley and Isaiah Horton also had TD catches for Alabama (5-1, 3-0 SEC), which has won seven straight over Missouri dating to Sept. 8, 1975. Beau Pribula tried to rally the Tigers (5-1, 1-1) late, hitting Donovan Olugbode for a touchdown with 1:39 to go. And after Alabama pounced on the onside kick, Missouri was able to force a quick punt, getting the ball back with 1:17 left and no timeouts. Pribula connected with Olugbode again on fourth down to get close to midfield, but he followed with a pair of incompletions, then overshot his intended target and was picked off by Alabama defensive back Dijon Lee Jr. to put the game away. The loss ended the Tigers’ 15-game home winning streak, the second-longest nationally.

Pribula finished with 167 yards passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions, and he also was the Tigers’ most effective runner with 61 yards and another score. The nation’s top rusher, Ahmad Hardy, was held to just 52 yards. Missouri got off to a good start, seemingly stunning Alabama on its opening drive. It took just six plays to march 78 yards, and Pribula threw a nifty lob to tight end Brett Norfleet down the sideline for a 26-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead. Yet the Crimson Tide not only regained their composure, they regained control. Simpson was nearly perfect on an answering touchdown drive. And after Alabama forced a three-and-out, the junior QB drove the Crimson Tide downfield again, zipping a pass to Horton on third-and-long for a 16-yard touchdown pass and a 14-7 lead. After each team added a field goal before halftime, Missouri took advantage of Simpson’s fumble - his only big mistake - on the first play of the second half. Pribula juked his way into the end zone three plays later to tie the game 17-all. Alabama took over and, after Simpson converted on fourth-and-8 with a throw to freshman Lotzeir Brooks, the SEC’s top passer found Hill in the end zone on fourth-and-goal from the Missouri 2 with just over 3 minutes remaining. - AP College Football

  10/11/25 - Derek MeadowsFr/2029, Alabama, 6-4, 212 (DS#999 WR) + More +

Alabama wide receiver Derek Meadows appeared to be knocked unconscious by a violent hit from Missouri safety Marvin Burks Jr. on Saturday, resulting in a scary situation in the first quarter at Memorial Stadium. Meadows had leaped to catch a pass from Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson when Burks, ranging to his left, delivered a big shoulder-to-shoulder blow. Meadows hit the turf and lay motionless, his right arm bent at an awkward angle, as several members of the Crimson Tide coaching staff rushed from the sideline to surround him.

Quiet fell over the stadium, and it took several minutes before they sat Meadows up, and several more before they helped him walk off the field. Burks was flagged for targeting on the play, and the penalty was upheld after the officials reviewed it. Meadows, a freshman from Las Vegas, has yet to catch a pass in a game this season. Meanwhile, Alabama running back Jam Miller also left the game early in the fourth quarter after taking a hard hit near the sideline. He walked to the locker room with the help of trainers. The game between the eighth-ranked Crimson Tide and No. 14 Missouri marks the first in Columbia between two AP top-15 teams since Sept. 29, 1979, when the Tigers lost to Texas. Alabama has not lost to Missouri since 1975. - AP College Football

  09/13/25 - Ty SimpsonrJr/2026, Alabama, 6-1, 211 (DS#2 QB) + More +

Ty Simpson threw for 382 yards and four touchdowns, including two to returning star Ryan Williams, and No. 19 Alabama overpowered Wisconsin for the second consecutive year, 38-14 on Saturday. Simpson completed 24 of 29 passes, with two of his misses being drops by Williams and freshman Lotzier Brooks. Williams finished with five receptions for 165 yards after missing last week's game because of a concussion. Simpson, who was equally solid last week against Louisiana-Monroe, joined Mac Jones (2020) as the only quarterbacks in school history to complete at least 80% of his passes and throw three TDs in consecutive games.

The Byrant-Denny Stadium crowd erupted as Williams took a screen pass and went 75 yards on the first play of the second half. It gave Williams his first 100-yard game since facing Georgia last September. Bray Hubbard's two interceptions led an Alabama (2-1) defense that held Wisconsin to 209 yards. The Crimson Tide notched four sacks. Danny O'Neil, subbing for injured Wisconsin starter Billy Edwards, completed 11 of 17 passes for 117 yards. His 41-yard TD pass to Jayden Ballard was one of the few highlights for the Badgers (2-1). Vinny Anthony II also returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score. - Alabama/AP College Football

  09/08/25 - Jeremiah BeamanrSo/2029, Alabama, 6-4, 312 (DS#999 DT) + More +

No. 21 Alabama will be without defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman for the rest of his season after he sustained a lower-body injury in practice Wednesday. Coach Kalen DeBoer announced Beaman's status on his weekly radio show. Beaman started last week's season opener at Florida State and logged a quarterback hurry. Beaman was starting in place of fourth-year junior Tim Keenan, who remains sidelined with a lower-body injury. "Tim Keenan will not be available this week, but he's doing really well and making the progress that we would expect," DeBoer said. "This is not a long-term injury for him." Without Beaman and Keenan, the Crimson Tide will turn to sophomore Edric Hill and freshmen Isaia Faga and London Simmons to increase their workload against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday. - AP College football

  09/01/25 - Ryan WilliamsJr/2028, Alabama, 6-0, 178 (DS#4 WR) + More +

Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams could miss the team's home opener because of a concussion. Coach Kalen DeBoer said Monday that Williams remains in concussion protocol and is considered "day to day" as the eighth-ranked Crimson Tide (0-1) prepare to host Louisiana-Monroe (1-0) on Saturday. A member of the preseason AP All-America team, Williams was helped off the field midway through the fourth quarter of a 31-17 loss at Florida State on Saturday after his helmet slammed into the ground following his third dropped pass of the game.

Florida State safety Earl Little was flagged for targeting on the play, but the penalty was overturned after review. "Ryan will go through concussion protocol throughout the week," DeBoer said. "Day-to-day situation." Williams finished the game with five receptions for 30 yards. As a freshman in 2024, Williams led Alabama with 865 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. - AP College Football
