SEPT 30 PSAC EASTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Shawn Turber-Ortiz, Kutztown (Jr./S), Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy,...Turber-Ortiz made a career-high 16 tackles and twice intercepted Shepherd quarterback Tyson Bagent during the Golden Bears' 34-27 win on Saturday. All 16 of Turber-Ortiz's tackles were of the solo variety and the two picks raised his career total to 12 --eighth most in program history. The redshirt junior from Northumberland, Pennsylvania, leads NCAA Division II with 8.3 solo tackles per game, ranks fifth in the nation in total tackles with 12.3 per game and seventh in interceptions per game (0.8).
