  OCT 14 BIG SOUTH SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Charleston Southern kicker Alex Usry was 3-of-3 on field goals and 2-of-2 on PAT kicks for 11 points in Charleston Southern's Big South opener at nationally-ranked Kennesaw State. He connected on a 49-yard field goal in the second quarter, and followed up with a career-long 50-yarder late in the period - becoming the first kicker in league history to make two field goals of at least 49 yards in the same game. Usry added a 31-yard field goal in the fourth stanza. Also nominated for Special Teams Player of the Week: Isaac Foster (Kennesaw State) and Matt Mosquera (Monmouth). - Big South Football
