  OCT 7 BIG SOUTH OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Gardner-Webb running back Jayln Cagle (Kannapolis, N.C.) rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns in Gardner-Webb's 24-21 victory at Western Carolina. Eight of his carries resulted in first downs - including a 14-yard gain on 3rd-and-13 that set up GWU's game-winning field goal attempt. Cagle's first score was a 46-yard sprint that evened the game at 7-7, and he tied the game a second time with a 2-yard plunge in the second quarter. Also nominated for Offensive Player of the Week: Bryant Barr (Campbell), Ronnie Harris (Charleston Southern), Jadakis Bonds (Hampton) and Lonnie Moore IV (Monmouth). - Big South Football
