  Draft Scout by Conference

In in 2019, DeShawn Gaddie came to North Texas as one of the Mean Green's top-rated recruits of the last few years. The former Arlington Lamar standout announced Monday that he is entering the transfer portal after capitalizing on his talent and developing into one of the Mean Green's top players. Gaddie finished with 61 tackles, broke up 13 passes and forced two fumbles last season when he helped anchor UNT's secondary at cornerback.

He has two years of eligibility remaining. Gaddie is expected to be a hot commodity on the transfer market after proving to be one of UNT's more versatile players. He played both cornerback and safety during his time with the Mean Green. Gaddie was an honorable mention All-Conference USA selection last season. He is the second key player UNT has lost to the transfer portal in the last few weeks. - Denton Record
