  SEPT 27 BIG SOUTH OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Charleston Southern quarterback Jack Chambers (Lilburn, Ga.) amassed 459 yards of offense in Charleston Southern's narrow defeat at East Carolina. He threw for 405 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 54 yards and a score as the Buccaneers fell to the Pirates by three points. Chambers directed the Bucs to a 14-0 first quarter lead, as well as the near comeback in the fourth quarter with an 8-yard TD run followed by his second TD pass of the night. He was 38-of-61 passing - the second-most completions in Big South history while his 61 attempts set a conference mark. Chambers' 83 total plays also established a league record, and his 459 total yards were the third-most in a game in Big South annals. Also nominated for Offensive Player of the Week: Bailey Fisher (Gardner-Webb) and Kashon Baker (North Carolina A&T). - Big South Football
