  Draft Scout by Conference

William Sherman bet on himself this winter, and it paid off. On Saturday, the former Colorado offensive lineman was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. Sherman, who is 6-foot-3, 310 pounds and skipped his senior year with the Buffaloes, was selected 197th overall and was the only lineman drafted by the Patriots. Sherman is the first CU offensive lineman taken within the first six rounds since David Bakhtiari was a fourth-round choice of the Green Bay Packers in 2013. This is the fifth consecutive season CU has had a player drafted. It's the second straight year an offensive lineman was taken after Arlington Hambright was a seventh-round choice of the Chicago Bears in 2020. A three-year starter with the Buffs, Sherman elected to skip his senior season to enter the draft early. He is the 11th CU player to enter the draft early and all 11 have been drafted. - Daily Camera
