  04/17/21 - TE Maliq CarrrSr/2025, Houston

Former Oak Park two-sport star Maliq Carr is leaving Purdue to play a little closer to home. And by play, we mean more than just football. The Free Press has confirmed that Carr's name is in the transfer portal after just his true freshman season at Purdue. The Lafayette (Indiana) Journal & Courier reports that Carr is transferring to Michigan State to play both football and basketball. Carr, listed at 6 foot 5 and 235 pounds, played in just three games last season and had just one reception. He was a four-star prospect as a wide receiver at Oak Park, according to 247Sports, and the No. 4 tight end in the nation for the class of 2020. - Lansing State Journal
