University of Miami tight end Michael Irvin II, the son of former Hurricanes great and Pro Football Hall of fame member Michael Irvin, is transferring for his final season of college football. UM confirmed the news to the Miami Herald on Thursday morning. Irvin II is no longer on the UM roster. It's hard to blame him for wanting to transfer. Ahead of him is top tight end Brevin Jordan, a possible future NFL first-rounder, as well as extremely talented backup Will Mallory. Irvin was hardly going to get real playing time in his only season left in college. Irvin, a redshirt senior, started three games last season. His career numbers: 11 catches for 111 yards in 31 games. He played in 13 games and had two catches in 2019 for 33 yards. - Miami Herald
