Mississippi State went back to the well. For the second year in a row, MSU landed a coveted quarterback in the transfer portal. Last year it was Tommy Stevens from Penn State. This year, former Stanford QB K.J. Costello announced his decision to leave Palo Alto and head to Starkville for his final year of eligibility. Costello made his announcement official via Twitter. Costello spent four seasons at Stanford, including a redshirt year in 2016. He started seven games as a redshirt freshman the following year before becoming the full-time starter in 2018. Costello had one of the best statistical seasons in Stanford history as a redshirt junior. He completed 269 of his 413 pass attempts (65.1%) for 3,540 yards. He threw 29 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions. - Clarion Ledger
