  SEPT 30/WEEK 5 SOUTHLAND SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Houston Baptist's Gino Garcia, Fr., Kicker, Richardson, Texas,...Garcia converted two of his three field-goal attempts, with his only miss from 52 yards, to improve to 8-for-10 on the year. The freshman nailed a career-long 54-yarder for HBU's final points in its 68-31 win over Texas Southern. Garcia was 8-for-9 on extra points, setting a program record for most PATs made.
