Although it is not as common as it used to be, college football fans are still typically greeted with at least one surprise on national signing day, and Utah State was no exception on Day 1 of the early signing period. The Aggies signed three transfers W ednesday morning who had not previously disclosed their intentions on social media. Former Miami safety Gurvan Hall inked his letter of intent with the Aggies, as did Washington linebacker MJ Tafisi and Arkansas State defensive back Anthony Switzer, who was brought in to compete at the striker position. The Aggies have greatly benefited from the transfer portal on their way to a Mountain West championship this season as Quazzel White (right tackle), Logan Bonner (quarterback), Calvin Tyler Jr. (running back), Brandon Bowling (wide receiver), Byron Vaughns (defensive end), Patrick Joyner Jr. (DE), Justin Rice (linebacker), Hunter Reynolds (safety) and Monte McGary (safety) have all played a big part in the team's success. All of those athletes were part of Blake Anderson's first recruiting class at the Aggie helm. - Herald Journal Tribune
