OCT 7 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: WR/KR Jaxon Janke, South Dakota State,...Janke caught a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes as South Dakota State pulled away for a 28-10 Hobo Day victory over Southern Illinois on Oct. 5. Janke ended the game with three catches for 20 yards, with his touchdowns covering 12 and 4 yards. High,...Janke swung the momentum firmly in South Dakota State's favor by returning a punt 77 yards for a touch down in the second quarter of the Jackrabbits' 38-3 home victory over Long Island University on Sept. 7. Janke, whose touchdown pushed the lead to 14-3, finished the game with four punt returns for 111 yards, becoming the first SDSU player in the Divisio n I era (since 2004) to record more than 100 punt return yards in a contest. - Missouri Valley Conference Football
