Luka Zurak's 56-yard field goal as time expired gave Butler a dramatic 26-23 victory over San Diego on Saturday. The Bulldogs (7-2, 5-1 Pioneer Football League) trailed throughout the game and were behind 23-13 with 13:33 to play. Zurak hit a 44-yard field goal and Bret Bushka threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Luke Wooten to tie the score at 23 with 2:13 to go. The Bulldogs forced a three-and-out then drove 21 yards to the San Diego 39-yard line before Zurak hit his fourth field goal of the game. A senior and long-time punter, Zurak is in his first season as the regular placekicker and his only miss in 12 tries was earlier in Saturday's game. Bushka was 25-of-41 passing for 268 yards with the one touchdown to Wooten, who caught 14 passes for 147 yards. Judd Erickson completed 24 of 34 passes for 246 yards with three touchdowns for San Diego (3-5, 2-3). Re-al Mitchell led the Toreros with 38 rushing yards and 60 yards receiving. Butler's victory was an uncommon occurrence in the series that San Diego now leads 21-6. The Toreros had won nine straight and 16 of the last 17 against the Bulldogs. - Butler/AP College Football

Michael Brescia ran for two touchdowns and piloted Colgate to a 13-7 win over Bucknell on Saturday as the Raiders won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Brescia drove Colgate 91 yards in 16 plays and scored the game's first touchdown on a five-yard run with 2:31 left in the first half, then hit Brady Hutchison with a 46-yard pass to set up a first-and-goal from the Bucknell 2 and squeezed in from the 1 two plays later for a 13-0 lead. Rushawn Baker scored from a yard out with just under eight minutes left for the only Bison score. Brescia completed 20 of 28 passes for 176 yards and carried 21 times for 66 yards for Colgate (3-5, 2-1 Patriot). Michael Brescia ran for three touchdowns to lead Colgate to a 34-24 win over Georgetown on Saturday, ending the Red Raiders' four-game losing streak while extending the Hoyas' skid to six. Colgate (2-5, 1-1 Patriot League) took control with a pair of second quarter touchdowns that capped long drives. Brescia finished a 12 plays, 72-yard drive with a seven-yard run and a 15-play, 77-yard drive with a 13-yard run, which pushed him over 1,000 career yards. The two drives took a combined 12-minutes, 30 seconds and gave the Red Raiders a 17-3 lead at the half. Brescia finished 175 yards on 19 keepers and was 7-for-11 passing for 48 yards. His third touchdown, a six-yard run, capped a nine-play, 72-yard drive that took 4:02. Jaedon Henry added a 40-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter. He was responsible for Butler's first points with his 35 and 22 -yard field goals in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 13-6. Zurak connected of 2-of-3 PATs, including what proved to be the game-winning PAT with 1:45 remaining in the game.
