(Nequa Valley),...Domschke hit three crucial field goals in WMU's 16-10 win at Miami. He got the Broncos on the board with 3:50 left in the second quarter, connecting on a career-long 52-yard field goal to tie it up at 3-3. (Vero Beach),...Moment led a dominant performance by the WMU defense in its win at Miami. Moment had seven tackles and a career-high 3.5 sacks. His 3.5 sacks resulted in 20 yards lost by Miami.   Michael Brescia ran for three touchdowns to lead Colgate to a 34-24 win over Georgetown on Saturday, ending the Red Raiders' four-game losing streak while extending the Hoyas' skid to six. Colgate (2-5, 1-1 Patriot League) took control with a pair of second quarter touchdowns that capped long drives. Brescia finished a 12 plays, 72-yard drive with a seven-yard run and a 15-play, 77-yard drive with a 13-yard run, which pushed him over 1,000 career yards. The two drives took a combined 12-minutes, 30 seconds and gave the Red Raiders a 17-3 lead at the half. Brescia finished 175 yards on 19 keepers and was 7-for-11 passing for 48 yards. His third touchdown, a six-yard run, capped a nine-play, 72-yard drive that took 4:02. Jaedon Henry added a 40-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter. Pierce Holley was 31 of 44 for 346 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a third score for the Hoyas (1-6, 0-3). Joshua Tomas caught 11 passes for 148 yards. - Colgate/AP College Football

  OCT 17 PIONEER FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Luka Zurak, Butler, (Sr., P/K, Cleveland, Ohio),...Zurak was responsible for eight points in Butler's 26-25 PFL victory at Valparaiso, Saturday. He was responsible for Butler's first points with his 35 and 22 -yard field goals in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 13-6. Zurak connected of 2-of-3 PATs, including what proved to be the game-winning PAT with 1:45 remaining in the game. As a punter, Zurak had kicks of 49 and 51 yards, for an average of 50 yards per punt with both going for touchbacks. He also was responsible for kickoff duties, with six kicks averaging 58.7 yards and one touchback and Valparaiso averaging 13.2 yards per kick return. - Pioneer League Football

  Hayden Wolff passed for 279 yards with two touchdowns and led a second-half rally as Old Dominion defeated Arkansas State 29-26 on Saturday for its first Sun Belt Conference victory. The Monarchs (2-2, 1-0) trailed 12-0 at halftime and 19-7 early in the third quarter. After Wolff hit Ali Jennings with a 77-yard touchdown pass to get within 19-14, the teams would trade touchdowns - and the lead - three times in the next 20 minutes of play. With 2:13 left in the third quarter, Deeve Harris returned an interception 16 yards for a touchdown and Old Dominion took a 21-19 lead. With 12:10 left in the fourth, quarterback AJ Mayer ran 23 yards for a touchdown and a 26-21 Arkansas State lead.

Wolff's second touchdown went to Zack Kuntz and a successful two-point conversion put Old Dominion ahead 29-26 with 6:33 to go. Arkansas State turned the ball over on downs near midfield on its next possession then an ODU punt pinned the Red Wolves at their own 2 with 1:09 remaining. The Red Wolves were unable to mount a drive and the clock ran out on when Old Dominion recovered a fumble on a wild scramble play. James Blackman completed 23 of 35 passes for 285 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Arkansas State (1-3, 0-1). Jeff Foreman had four catches for 115 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown. Old Dominion was a member of Conference USA last season. - Old Dominion/AP College Football

  Quarterback Michael Brescia ran for three touchdowns, including a 68-yard score in the fourth quarter, and Colgate defeated Maine 21-18 on Saturday. After Maine (0-2) scored early in the fourth quarter to close within 14-10, the Black Bears went three-and-out on their next two possessions. Brescia's 68-yard touchdown run then gave Colgate (1-1) an important two-score lead at 21-10. Maine responded, a 75-yard drive culminating with a 7-yard pass from Joe Fagnano to Montigo Moss. Fagnano's 2-point conversion pass to Zavier Scott made the score 21-18 with 4:02 remaining. Maine forced a three-and-out then had 2:15 remaining to tie the score or take the lead. The Black Bears drove to the Colgate 29-yard line but Cole Baker missed a 47-yard field goal try with 30 seconds remaining. Brescia had 15 carries for 87 yards rushing but was just 4-of-11 passing for 28 yards. Fagnano completed 25 of 39 passes for 246 yards and one touchdown. - AP College Football

  2022 PRESEASON WUERFFEL TROPHY (COMMUNITY SERVICE) WATCHLIST: Boone Bonnema, Western Michigan, So., LB,...Bonnema appeared in 12 games for Western Michigan last season and recorded 12 tackles, nine of which were solo stops. The Zeeland, Mich., native registered a career-high four tackles, all of which were solo, in WMU's 64-31 rout of Kent State. He worked as a volunteer at Partnership Elementary School, helping to mentor several students. One of the teachers commented that Toudle's contribution was a lasting and meaningful one to those students. He also organized a camp for kids, bringing in college athletes from across North Carolina and Virginia to not only teach football, but also to hold a social event for the surrounding community. He helped organize free food and games and even raised money for the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at the event. - NC State Football
