Running back Adam Mohammed proved that as his sophomore year winds to a close, he is capable of being a feature running back in 2026. After eclipsing 25 yards only one time the first eight games of the season, Mohammed totaled at least 50 rushing yards in each of his last four games of the season. - AP College Football

In addition to holding Williams to 129 passing yards, Oregon sacked the Washington quarterback four times. He completed just 50% of his passes, notable considering Williams entered the game sixth in the country in completion percentage. For as solid a first season as Washington's starter as it was for Williams, he struggled on the road and against the Big Ten's best. In the Huskies' four losses this season, Williams had three touchdowns and six interceptions. In eight Washington wins, Williams threw 18 touchdowns and two interceptions. - AP College Football

Demond Williams Jr. scored on two quarterback keepers and threw for two touchdowns, and Alex McLaughlin returned a fumble for a 59-yard TD to help Washington rout UCLA 48-14 on Saturday night. The Huskies (8-3, 5-3 Big Ten) won their second game in a row for the first time since early October. Williams was 17-of-26 for 213 yards passing, hitting Dezman Roebuck with an 18-yard score and Decker DeGraaf with a 24-yard TD. Williams ran for TDs of 25 and 11 yards. The Huskies piled up 212 rushing yards to 58 for UCLA. They had 25 first downs to 10 for the Bruins and were 4 of 11 on third down to 2 of 13 for UCLA. The Bruins (3-8, 3-5) lost their fourth in a row, tying their season-worst skid, while playing what could have been their final regular-season game at the historic Rose Bowl because of an imbroglio between the university and the City of Pasadena involving UCLA's lease.

UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava returned after missing last week's blowout loss at No. 1 Ohio State while in concussion protocol only to get hurt in the third quarter. He was sacked for a 15-yard loss by Bryce Butler with the Bruins trailing 27-0. The Tennessee transfer was 16-of-26 for 69 yards and no touchdowns. Iamaleava also ran for 16 yards on five carries. He was replaced by Luke Duncan, who started in Iamaleava's place against Ohio State. UCLA's Cash Peterman ran for a 3-yard loss and fumbled at the Washington 41. McLaughlin recovered the ball and returned it for a TD, extending the Huskies' lead to 20-0 in the second. Mikey Matthews scored UCLA's first TD on a 37-yard catch from Duncan late in the third. Jamir Benjamin scored on a 1-yard fumble recovery in the fourth. - Washington/AP College Football

  11/16/25 - Adam MohammedSo/2028, Washington, 6-0, 220 (DS#21 RB) + More +

No Jonah Coleman, no problem for Washington. Adam Mohammed scored a career-high three rushing touchdowns as Washington beat Purdue 49-13 on Saturday night. Washington (7-3, 4-3 Big Ten) bested its win total from last season, its first under second-year coach Jedd Fisch, with the victory while Purdue (2-9, 0-8) lost its ninth straight game. Mohammed, a sophomore who entered the evening with two career touchdowns that both came this season before Big Ten play, got Washington on the scoreboard late in the first quarter with a 1-yard plunge. He again tumbled into the end zone from one yard out early in the second quarter, and added a 5-yard TD run just before halftime.

Mohammed was pressed into a more prominent role since star running back Coleman was injured during last week's 13-10 loss to Wisconsin, and did not appear in Saturday's contest despite dressing and participating in pregame warmups. Fisch expected Coleman to be available up until just before kickoff, but Mohammed was prepared to start since the beginning of the week. Redshirt freshman running back Jordan Washington also scored his first career touchdown when he raced up the sideline for a 68-yard score in the second quarter. The high school track star made one Purdue defender miss, and was off to the races from there. Purdue, which was held without any points in the first half for the second time this season, didn't score until kicker Spencer Porath notched a 41-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. Porath added another field goal, a 53-yarder, in the fourth quarter. Malachi Singleton threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to EJ Horton Jr., marking the only time Purdue reached the end zone in the game. Washington's Demond Williams Jr. threw for 257 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown pass to freshman wide receiver Audric Harris in the third quarter. The Boilermakers mustered just 167 yards passing, marking five straight games a Purdue quarterback did not throw for at least 200 yards. - Washington/AP College Football

  10/25/25 - Denzel BostonrJr/2027, Washington, 6-3, 210 (DS#4 WR) + More +

Denzel Boston threw and caught a touchdown pass, and finished with career highs of 10 catches and 153 receiving yards to lead Washington to a 42-25 victory over No. 23 Illinois on Saturday. Boston, who entered the game 10th in the Big Ten in receiving yards, put the Huskies (6-2, 3-2 Big Ten) up for good at 21-17 with a 12-yard TD pass to Jonah Coleman on a trick play with 40 seconds remaining in the first half. Demond Williams Jr., who tossed four touchdown passes, threw a backward pass to Boston. The junior wideout promptly threw the ball across the field to a wide-open Coleman, allowing Washington to head into halftime with a lead it would not relinquish.

The Huskies led 14-3 after the first quarter thanks to a pair of 13-yard receiving touchdowns by Dezmen Roebuck. The Fighting Illini (5-3, 2-3) struck twice in the second quarter, though, and took a 17-14 lead on a 5-yard touchdown pass by Luke Altmyer to Tanner Arkin. After Arkin's touchdown catch, though, Washington outscored Illinois 28-10. Its sixth victory matched the Huskies' total number of wins from the 2024 campaign, which was coach Jedd Fisch's first at Washington. It was also the Huskies' second win against a Top 25 team under Fisch's reign; Washington beat No. 10 Michigan 27-17 at home last season. The Fighting Illini, meanwhile, lost for the third time in five weeks after a 3-0 start to the year in which they were ranked as high as No. 9 in the nation. - Washington/AP College Football

Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. threw for 402 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 38-19 win against Rutgers on Friday night. Williams completed 21 of 27 passes and rushed 13 times as he set career highs for passing yards, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. According to the school, Williams became the 16th player in FBS history to throw for at least 400 yards and rush for at least 100 yards in a game, and the first since 2023. He is also the 12th Washington quarterback to run for 100 yards or more in a game.

Rutgers quarter Athan Kaliakmanis also set career highs with 386 passing yards, 31 completions and 50 attempts. He threw for two touchdowns. Ian Strong had seven receptions for 124 yards. Antwan Raymond and KJ Duff had the touchdowns catches. Williams had touchdown passes of 20 and 38 yards to Denzel Boston. His two rushing touchdowns of 11 and 7 yards were the final two scores for the Huskies (5-1, 2-1 Big Ten Conference). The Scarlet Knights (3-3, 0-3) took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and led 13-10 at halftime before Washington's offense and Williams took over the game. The Huskies scored touchdowns on their first four drives of the second half, a streak only broken on the final possession when they ran out the clock. Boston had 98 receiving yards and the two touchdowns for Washington, and Dezmen Roebuck caught four passes for 108 yards. Ephesians Prysock sealed the game for Washington with an interception in the end zone with less than two minutes left. - Washington/AP College Football

Demond Williams Jr. threw four touchdown passes and ran for a score as Washington reclaimed the Apple Cup with a 59-24 victory over Washington State on Saturday night. Williams was at the heart of Washington's offensive success with 298 yards through the air and another 88 on the ground, but the Huskies made use of other weapons on their way to 471 total yards. Running back Jonah Coleman rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns to help a dominant rushing attack. Denzel Boston led all receivers with 107 yards and two touchdowns. The Huskies scored on every possession, extending their season-opening scoring streak to 21 straight drives. Washington scored touchdowns on seven of its eight scoring drives. Washington opened the 117th Apple Cup with a touchdown drive as Boston caught a 29-yard pass from Williams. There was uncertainty at quarterback for Washington State heading into the game as coach Jimmy Rogers did not name a starter before Saturday's game.

Senior Zevi Eckhaus started in place of redshirt sophomore Jaxon Potter, who threw three interceptions last week in a 59-10 loss to North Texas. Eckhaus was intercepted on Washington State's first drive by safety Alex McLaughlin. The interception sparked back-to-back touchdowns from Washington, both on the ground courtesy of Williams and Coleman. The Cougars' only touchdown of the half came when Eckhaus found redshirt freshman tight end Bo Baker for his first collegiate catch and touchdown. The instate rivals traded touchdowns to start the second half, with Boston adding his second score on a contested catch in the corner of the end zone to open the fourth quarter. The Cougars committed back-to-back turnovers after the Boston score, starting with a second interception by Eckhaus which McLaughlin returned for a touchdown. Eckhaus also fumbled on the first play of the next possession. Another Coleman touchdown run and a 59-yard touchdown reception by senior Omari Evans capped the scoring as the Huskies secured their 76th win in the Apple Cup series. - Washington/AP College Football

Jonah Coleman rushed for a career-high five touchdowns as Washington beat UC Davis 70-10 on Saturday night. Coleman tied the modern program record set by Corey Dillon (1996 vs. UCLA) and Hugh McElhenny (1950 vs. Washington State) on a 5-yard rushing touchdown early in the third quarter. Ervin Daily set the school's all-time mark with seven rushing touchdowns against Whitman in 1919.

Coleman, who has rushed for three touchdowns in a game twice previously in his collegiate career, bested that total before halftime. He also finished the evening with his seventh career 100-yard rushing game at Washington. Coleman had 15 carries for 111 yards. Coleman got the Huskies on the board with a 15-yard TD run after Washington forced a three-and-out from the Aggies. Midway through the first quarter, Coleman again plunged into the end zone, this time from a yard out. Demond Williams Jr., who had 254 yards passing, also ran for an 8-yard score prior to another rushing touchdown by Coleman early in the second quarter. Coleman made it four rushing touchdowns before halftime with a 7-yard scamper. Hunter Ridley made a 45-yard field goal in the first quarter, and running back Matteo Perez caught a 1-yard pass from Caden Pinnick for the Aggies. - Washington/AP College Football

Jonah Coleman had 177 yards rushing and two touchdowns as Washington beat Colorado State 38-21 on Saturday night in the season opener for both teams. Demond Williams Jr. was 18-of-24 passing for 232 yards and a touchdown for Washington. Williams, who completed 78% of his passes last season, was efficient in the Huskies' season opener, connecting on eight of his first nine passes, including a 22-yard completion to Coleman for a fourth-down conversion in the first quarter. Coleman ran for a 26-yard touchdown immediately to give the Huskies a 7-0 lead almost four minutes into the game.

Each of Washington's first three touchdowns, though, were followed by Colorado State touchdowns. A bobbled snap by Williams deep in Rams territory led to Colorado State tying it entering halftime thanks to a Jalen Dupree rushing touchdown that made it 14-all. Denzel Boston made a one-hand touchdown catch while being interfered with by a Rams defensive back, giving Washington a 28-21 lead late in the third quarter. Grady Gross kicked a 24-yard field goal late and Coleman's 3-yard TD run capped the scoring with 1:41 to go. The Huskies had 283 yard rushing and limited Colorado State to 265 total yards. - Washington/AP College Football
