  Kaleb Barker threw for 363 yards and a program-record six touchdown passes to lead Troy in a 63-27 rout of Texas State on Saturday. Troy (5-5, 3-3 Sun Belt Conference) has scored 30 points or more in five straight games for the first time since 2013, and has beaten Texas State (3-7, 2-4) in eight consecutive games. Barker completed 30 of 43 passes that included two scores to Trevon Woolfolk, and one each to four different receivers. Jabir Daughtry-Frye and Woolfolk also had touchdown runs for the Trojans. Barker threw five touchdown passes in the first half, and his sixth midway through the third quarter. Sim Byrd accounted for six touchdowns twice in 1968 for Troy. The Trojans put up 471 yards of offense, snapping its 500-yard mark in three straight games. They had 603 yards in last week's win over Georgia Southern. Tyler Vitt was 29-of-44 passing for 263 yards and threw a pair of touchdown passes but was intercepted four times for Texas State. - Troy/AP College Football

  NOV 11 SUN BELT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marcus Webb, Troy (Senior, DT, Decatur, Ala.),...Making his first start of the season, Troy senior defensive tackle Marcus Webb turned in one of the most dominating defensive performances in the country this season. The Decatur, Ala. native, recorded three sacks and a career-best seven tackles. His sack total is the fifth most in the country this year and the third most in a game in school history. Webb led a defensive effort that held Georgia Southern to just 152 rushing yards in the game (3.1 yards per carry) which was the lowest output by the Eagles against a non-Power Five opponent this season; Georgia Southern entered the game averaging 269.2 yards per game on the ground. - Sun Belt Football

  Kaleb Barker threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns, DK Billingsley rushed for 163 yards and two more scores, and Troy defeated Georgia Southern 49-28 on Saturday. Troy (4-5, 2/3 Sun Belt) scored the game's first 14 points and went on to lead 27-14 at halftime. Georgia Southern (5-4, 3-2) closed to within 27-21 on the first play of the fourth quarter when Shai Werts hit Darion Anderson on a 26-yard touchdown pass.

The Trojans responded by scoring touchdowns on their next three possessions. The first came at the end of a 13-play, 75-yard drive when Barker hit Reggie Todd with a 7-yard touchdown pass. Billingsley broke loose for a 70-yard TD run on the first play of the next possession and Trevon Woolfork finished a short drive with a 12-yard run for the third score. Werts completed 8 of 16 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns for the Eagles, who had been one of three East Division teams with one conference loss. The Trojans had 330 yards passing and 273 yards on the ground for a total of 603. Georgia Southern was held to 333 total yards. - Troy/AP College Football

  Kaleb Barker connected with receiver Kaylon Geiger for two touchdowns and Troy beat in-state rival South Alabama 37-13 on Wednesday night in the Battle for the Belt. Will Sunderland made it 30-13 with an easy interception, returning it 27 yards early in the fourth quarter for Troy's second interception. Freshman Trevon Woolfolk sealed it on a 4-yard run for his first career touchdown.

Barker, who left the game at Missouri in the second quarter after a late hit, threw for 194 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for Troy (3-3, 1-1 Sun Belt). He entered ranked ninth in the nation averaging 295.2 passing yards. Geiger caught four passes for 29 yards and DK Billingsley rushed for 100 yards. Troy has held its last four opponents to a combined 22 points in the second half. South Alabama (1-6, 0-3), which has lost its last five games, faces No. 24 Appalachian State next weekend.   Senior quarterback Kaleb Barker threw two touchdown passes and DK Billingsley ran for two scores in coach Chip Lindsey's debut and Troy beat Campbell 43-14 in Saturday's season opener for both teams. Barker, who missed the final seven games of last season with a knee injury, hit Reggie Todd on a 61-yard TD pass and threw a 10-yard pass to Luke Whittemore for a 17-7 first quarter lead. Barker was 18 of 29 for 282 yards.

B.J. Smith, 108 yards on 10 carries, scored on a 24-yard run and Billingsley punched one in from the 1 and scored on a 38-yarder in the fourth. Tyler Sumpter kicked field goals of 27 and 25 yards and the FBS-member Trojans scored a safety when a snap went over the punter's head into the end zone. Hajj Malik Williams, 7 of 13 for 85 yards, hit Caleb Snead for two touchdowns for FCS-member Campbell. The first was a 16-yard TD before the game was delayed by lightning for more than an hour; the second a 30-yarder in the fourth quarter. - AP College Football

  Former Auburn buck Richard Jibunor has found a new home - and one with a familiar face in charge. Jibunor, who parted ways with Auburn this offseason, is now enrolled at Troy and listed on the Trojans official online roster as preseason practices are set to get underway. Jibunor, a former four-star prospect out of Athens, Ga., by way of Nigeria, entered the transfer portal in June following his freshman season on the Plains. At Troy, Jibunor will reunite with Trojans head coach Chip Lindsey, who was the Tigers' offensive coordinator each of the last two seasons under Gus Malzahn. - AL.com

Smith, Troy, Senior, RB,...Smith rushed for 1,186 yards last season which led the Sun Belt over the 12 regular season games and ranked second, by one yard, for the entire season. Smith's 13 rushing touchdowns were the sixth most in a season in Troy history and were the most among running backs in the league.

An All-Sun Belt First Team selection last year, Smith set a school record after rushing for more than 100 yards in five straight games as he averaged 141.3 yards per game during the month of October; the fifth most in the country.
