The redshirt senior linebacker finished tied for third in the league with five interceptions and was first in the CAA with 122 yards returned after picks, including a touchdown.   NOV 18 CAA FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Yeedee Thaenrat, Sr., RB, Towson (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge),...Thaenrat rushed for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in Towson's 31-10 victory at William & Mary. The senior found the end zone from 3 yards out on the Tigers' first possession of the game after setting up the score with a career-best 51-yard run. Thaenrat averaged 6.6 yards per carry and tallied the most yards by a Towson running back since 2016. He leads the CAA with 14 rushing TD's. - Colonial Athletic Association Football

  Yeedee Thaenrat rushed for a career-high 158 yards, Tom Flacco threw two touchdown passes and Towson defeated William & Mary 31-10 on Saturday. Thaenrat's touchdown, a 3-yard run, capped a 7-play, 85-yard opening drive for the Tigers (7-4, 4-3 Colonial). William & Mary (4-7, 2-5) answered with a field goal before Towson scored the next 24 points, including TD passes of 6 and 9 yards from Flacco to Shane Leatherbury. William & Mary's touchdown came on a 15-yard fumble return by Tyler Crist and the Tribe were held to 276 yards of offense. Kane Everson caught six passes for 109 yards. Flacco, the brother of longtime NFL quarterback Joe Flacco, completed 20 of 29 passes for 191 yards. - AP College Football

  Tom Flacco passed for two touchdowns and Towson used a run of unanswered points to defeat Stony Brook 31-14 Saturday. The Tigers (6-4, 3-3 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed Stony Brook 7-3 in the second quarter before scoring 14 points to close out the first half and seven more to open the second half. The 21-0 run put the game away. Shane Leatherbury scored on a 12-yard run with 4:43 left in the second quarter and, after a Stony Brook three-and-out, Yeedee Thaenrat scored from the 1 as the Tigers ended the half with a 17-7 lead. Towson, ranked No. 21 in the FCS coaches' poll, opened the second half with a 69-yard drive capped by a 12-yard pass from Flacco to Leatherbury, who had beat his man to the back of the end zone. Tyquell Fields passed for 241 yards with a pair of touchdowns for the Seawolves (5-5, 2-4) but was intercepted three times. He also rushed for 77 yards.   Yeedee Thaenrat ran for three touchdowns, including one late in the fourth for the win, as Towson beat Delaware 31-24 on Saturday. Thaenrat had 70 yards rushing for the Tigers (5-4, 2/3 Colonial Athletic Association). Tom Flacco threw for 294 yards and a touchdown. The Tigers led 24-14 at halftime but struggled early in the second half as fumbles by Thaenrat and Caleb Smith ended their first two drives, allowing the Blue Hens (4-5, 2-3) to tie it 24-all early in the fourth quarter. Thaenrat capped the next Townson drive with a 2-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers the winning edge with 4:54 to play.

Flacco hit Smith for an 11-yard touchdown and a 14-7 lead midway through the second quarter. Delaware answered to tie it up but Thaenrat's 2-yard touchdown put the Tigers on top again, 21-14, with 1:37 to go in the half. Coby Tippett intercepted Noland Henderson's pass, ending the next Delaware drive, and Aiden O'Neill kicked a 24-yard field goal as time ran out, making it 24-14 at halftime. Henderson threw for 240 yards and a score for the Blue Hens. He also ran for a touchdown. - AP College Football

  OCT 21 CAA FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tom Flacco, Sr., QB, Towson (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern),...In just one half of action, Flacco completed 16-of-22 passes for 203 yards and a school-record six touchdowns as Towson rolled over Bucknell, 56-7. The senior quarterback threw three TD passes in each of the first two quarters as the Tigers found the end zone on six of their first seven possessions.   True freshman Jermaine Brown ran for 116 yards and a score, Tyler Johnston III threw two touchdowns, and UAB became bowl eligible as it put Old Dominion away early with a 38-14 win on Saturday. The victory was UAB's 16th straight at home. On the opening drive, ODU quarterback Messiah deWeaver fumbled and Garret Mario recovered at the 31-yard line to give UAB (6-1, 3-1 Conference USA) a short field. Lucious Stanley ran it in from 2-yards out. After an ODU punt, the teams exchanged turnovers on successive possessions before Stanley crashed in from a yard out for a two-touchdown lead.

UAB smothered the Monarchs' (1-6, 0-3) offense, holding them to 150 total yards. deWeaver finished 6-of-24 passing for 82 yards, had 17 carries for 14 yards, and fumbled three times with the Blazers recovering twice. UAB linebacker Kristopher Moll finished with 11 tackles: 10 solo, including a sack.   Tom Flacco threw a school-record six touchdown passes in the first half, five to Shane Leatherbury, as Towson steamrolled Bucknell, 56-7 in a nonconference game on Saturday. The brother of Denver Broncos quarterback Joe, Flacco hit Chris Clark with a 12-yard scoring pass four minutes into the game, then hit Leatherbury with two scoring passes less than a minute apart as the Tigers staked a 21-0 lead after one quarter.

After Jared Cooper scored from 3-yards out for Bucknell's only points, Leatherbury pulled in passes from 2- and 45-yards out to make it 42-7 at the break. D'Ago Hunter took the opening kick of the second half and returned it 92 yards for a touchdown and Aaron Speight scored from a yard out to complete the scoring. Towson checked Bucknell on 18 yards of offense in the first quarter and the Bison trailed 28-0 before their offense ventured past midfield. Flacco was 16 of 22 for 203 yards. Leatherbury's five touchdown catches ties a single-game school record set by Andrae Brown in 2005. - Towson/AP College Football

  Tyler Johnston III threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns to help UAB roll to a 33-14 victory over UTSA on Saturday night. Austin Watkins finished with six catches for 167 yards for UAB (5-1, 2-1 Conference USA). Lucious Stanley had 92 yards rushing on 13 carries. Johnston tossed a 67-yard touchdown pass to Watkins in the second quarter. Myron Mitchell caught his only pass, beating a defender in the end zone for a 25-yard scoring catch that stretched the Blazers lead to 23-14 in the third. Stanley scored on a 5-yard run late in the fourth. Lowell Narcisse was 8 of 19 for 94 yards passing and added 89 yards on the ground to lead UTSA (2-4, 1-2).   Tyler Johnston III passed for 282 yards and 3 touchdowns, Lucious Stanley ran for two scores, and UAB beat Rice 35-20 on Saturday night. The game was delayed twice - once at halftime and once in the fourth quarter - for a total of about 2 1/2 hours due to lightning strikes in the area. Stanley finished with 19 carries for 88 yards and Kendall Parham had three receptions for 109 yards and two TDs for UAB (4-1, 1-1 Conference USA). The Owls (0-6, 0-2) took a 7-0 lead on the second play from scrimmage when Aston Walter scored on a 64-yard run. Johnston threw touchdown passes of 46 yards to Parham and 36 yards to Austin Watkins in about a two-minute span to give the Blazers at 14-7 lead with 12:34 left in the first half.

Rice's Wiley Green threw 3-yard scoring pass to August Pitre III late in the second quarter but UAB blocked the extra point and went into halftime with a 21-20 lead. Stanley scored on runs of 25 and 7 yards in the third quarter to cap the scoring. Walter finished with 16 carries for 102 yards and Austin Trammell had five receptions for 113 yards for the Owls.   Tyler Johnston III threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns as UAB scored early and often to dominate South Alabama 35-3 on Saturday afternoon. Johnson was 22-of-27 passing with one interception and rushed for 26 yards. Kendall Parham hauled in three passes for 107 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown that got the Blazers on the board early in the first quarter. UAB (3-0) scored on its next series when Spencer Brown crashed in from the 1. South Alabama (1-3) got its only points when Frankie Onate booted a 27-yard field goal to trail 14-3 going into the second quarter. Brown, who finished with 80 yards rushing, ran in from the 1 and Johnston hit Austin Watkins on a 33-yard scoring strike to go up 28-3 at the break.   The first top 10 matchup of the 2019 season did not disappoint. After going into the half with a mere 3-point lead against then-No. 9 Maine, Towson outscored the Black Bears 28-10 in the second half to bring home a commanding 45-23 Colonial Athletic Association win. The Tigers' win propelled them into the top 5 for the first time this season checking in at No. 5 in this week's AFCA FCS Coaches' Top 25 Poll. North Dakota State received all 26 first place votes and remained the No. 1 team in the nation following their win over then-No. 18t Delaware. James Madison, South Dakota State and UC Davis remained unchanged, coming in at No. 2 through 4 spots.

Youngstown State checks in the Top 25 for the first time in 2019 following their 34-14 victory over Duquesne, while Elon jumps back into the poll at No. 22. Villanova makes this week's biggest jump, going up five spots to No. 18 following a dominating 35-10 win over Bucknell. Week 4 will feature a pair of top 25 matchups, with the first being a top 5 showdown as No. 1 North Dakota State plays host to No. 4 UC Davis.
