UTSA running back Sincere McCormick announced Thursday that he is entering the 2022 NFL Draft, forgoing his final two seasons of eligibility with the Roadrunners. McCormick shared his decision in an Instagram post, writing that he will attend but not play in Tuesday's Frisco Bowl against San Diego State. He thanked his family, coaches, teammates and fans for their support through his record-breaking career, describing UTSA's Conference USA championship victory in front of more than 41,000 fans at the Alamodome as "one of the happiest times of my life." McCormick earned MVP honors in the 49-41 win against Western Kentucky, running for 204 yards and three touchdowns in his final game at UTSA.   Sincere McCormick rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns and the UTSA Roadrunners escaped another prolific outing by Western Kentucky quarterback Bailey Zappe to beat the Hilltoppers 49-41 and claim their first Conference USA championship on Friday night at the Alamodome. Zappe completed 36 of 59 passes for 577 yards and four touchdowns. He set a single-season school record with 5,545 yards passing, surpassing Brandon Doughty. UTSA had its most inspiring victory less than a week after its most humiliating outing in a 45-23 loss to North Texas last week. Leading 49-41 with a minute remaining, the Roadrunners stopped the Hilltoppers at their own 6-yard line when Jahmal Sam intercepted a desperation throw by Zappe as time expired.

Roadrunners quarterback Frank Harris responded to one of his worst outings last week by completing 19 of 28 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns against the Hilltoppers. The third largest crowd in school history at 41,148 watched anxiously as UTSA struggled to maintain an early lead. The Roadrunners held the Hilltoppers' prolific offense to 289 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Zappe could not be contained in the second half, though. He completed 20 of 34 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns in the second half. Zappe has 56 touchdowns this season, moving within four of matching the single season record set by LSU's Joe Burrow during the Tigers' national championship season in 2019. - UTSA/AP College Football

Frank Harris threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Oscar Cardenas with three seconds left, rallying No. 15 UTSA to a wild 34-31 victory over UAB on Saturday. The Roadrunners (11-0, 7-0) defeated the reigning three-time Conference USA West champion Blazers (7-4, 5-2) to clinch their first division title. Trailing much of the game, the Roadrunners got the ball back with 1:09 left after stuffing the Blazers a yard short of a first down on third-and-4 at the UAB 42. Following a punt, Harris drove UTSA 77 yards on seven plays. The winning touchdown came after Harris fumbled the snap and had his pass tipped by UAB linebacker Noah Wilder before Cardenas caught it in the back of the end zone. Harris completed 25 of 35 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns. The senior set the school single-season record with 21 touchdown passes on his first TD Saturday.

Dylan Hopkins passed for 254 yards and two touchdowns and DeWayne McBride rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries for UAB. The Roadrunners took their first lead late in the third quarter on Hunter Duplessis' 49-yard field goal to go up 27-24. Duplessis had a 51-yarder earlier. UTSA had a season-high 35,147 in attendance at the Alamodome, and the crowd had an impact as it did last week against Southern Miss. UAB had three false starts, a delay of game and had to call its final timeout with 5:25 left in the game to avoid a penalty. - UTSA/AP College Football

Frank Harris passed for 227 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 54 yards and No. 15 UTSA overcame a sluggish performance to beat Southern Mississippi 27-17 on Saturday and remain undefeated. UTSA, Georgia and Cincinnati are the only remaining unbeaten FBS teams following No. 8 Oklahoma's 27-14 loss at No. 13 Baylor. The Roadrunners (10-0, 6-0 in Conference-USA) needed late defensive stands to avoid an upset by the Golden Eagles (1-9, 0-6). Favored by 33 1/2-point favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, UTSA nearly became fully ensnared in a trap game if not for its defense. With the game tied at 17 with six minutes remaining, UTSA noseguard Jaylon Haynes recovered a fumble by Southern Miss quarterback Antavious Willis at the Golden Eagles 35. The turnover led to Hunter Duplessis' go-ahead, 24-yard field goal with 4:39 remaining. UTSA sealed the victory with 4:25 remaining on a fumble recovery by Charles Wiley at Southern Miss 9 after Corey Mayfield Jr. stripped Willis as he fled the pocket. Sincere McCormick scored on the ensuing play to give the Roadrunners a 27-17 lead. - UTSA/AP College Football

Frank Harris passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for two more scores to lead No. 16 UTSA to a 44-23 victory against UTEP on Saturday night at the Sun Bowl. The Roadrunners (9-0, 4-0 C-USA) pushed their school-record win streak to nine games and are one of four undefeated FBS teams. "It's getting surreal," UTSA coach Jeff Traylor said. "We can deny it and say we don't listen to (talk about being undefeated), but we do. "But our kids don't feel pressure." UTSA has won five in a row against UTEP (6-3, 3-2).

UTSA wasted no time in taking control, as running back Sincere McCormick darted through a big hole on the left side for a 75-yard touchdown on the second play after the opening kickoff. "We've worked on it all week, and they gave us the exact look we were looking for," Traylor said. McCormick finished with 169 yards on 21 carries. Harris and McCormick helped push all the right buttons for the Roadrunners, who scored all six times they had the ball in the first half. They've put up 40 or more points four games in a row. "That's as good as we've ever been offensively," Traylor said. "It's just a November to remember. We're stacking one great day on top of another. We have really good players, they're talented, and they're a blast to coach." - UTSA/AP College Football

Frank Harris threw two touchdown passes to Zakhari Franklin and No. 24 UTSA celebrated its first national ranking with a 45-16 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night. Harris was 12 of 20 for 193 yards, with scoring passes of 75 and 10 yards to Franklin, to help the Roadrunners (8-0, 4-0 Conference USA) extend their school-record winning streak to eight games. Franklin had five catches for 118 yards, and Sincere McCormick ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns. Dadrian Taylor returned an interception 51 yards for a score.

UTSA, one of nine remaining undefeated FBS teams, won for the first time in Ruston in six attempts dating to 2012. "This is a big one," Roadrunners coach Jeff Traylor said. "We came here last night and all the kids were talking on the field about how negative things have been here - how they got their tails kicked. It painted a picture to me of how many negative things were in their heads. I don't know if I've done anything any good (at UTSA), but I know one thing – my kids don't play scared. We put out those bad memories and we don't play with fear." Louisiana Tech (2-5, 1-2) hosted a Top 25 opponent for the first time since 2010 when the Bulldogs lost to then-No. 14 Nevada and Colin Kaepernick. - UTSA/AP College Football

Trevor Hermanson and Corey Mayfield Jr. returned interceptions for touchdowns, UTSA allowed just 102 yards, and the Roadrunners rolled to a 45-0 homecoming victory over Rice on Saturday night. The Roadrunners, celebrating their 10th anniversary of football, improved to a program-best 7-0 (3-0 Conference USA West) and the seven-game winning streak is also a program high. Sincere McCormick carried 13 times for 117 yards, including an 81-yard non-scoring run, and UTSA totaled 261 yards on the ground. Frank Harris added 12-of-19 passing for 125 yards and two TDs. Joshua Cephus, who had four receptions for 63 yards, caught both of Harris' touchdown passes. Ari Broussard had 10 carries for 61 yards rushing for the Owls (2-4, 1-1). The rest of his team managed 41 yards, which included just 36 yards passing. UTSA led 31-0 at halftime and closed out the scoring in the third quarter with Mayfield's pick-6 and the second Harris-to-Cephus touchdown pass. - AP College Football
