  Owen McCown threw three touchdown passes, Will Henderson III scored three times, and UTSA defeated Florida International 57-20 on Friday night at the First Responder Bowl. UTSA (7-6) was making its sixth consecutive bowl appearance - seventh overall - and has won three bowls in a row. FIU (7-6) ended a bowl drought dating to 2019. FIU had an early lead on a touchdown pass by Joe Pesansky and the Panthers made it 14-0 on Maguire Anderson's 97-yard punt return. UTSA then scored the next 38 points. Trailing 14-0, Henderson scored on a 2-yard run then tied the score when he caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from McCown. After a field goal, McCown connected with Devin McCuin on a 23-yard touchdown pass.

A'Marion Peterson capped the first-half scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run and a 31-14 lead for the Roadrunners. UTSA had a 310-93 advantage in total yards in the first half, with 50 yards of FIU's total coming on a late second-quarter drive that ended on a fourth-down sack of Pesansky. In the third quarter, Henderson ran five yards for a touchdown to make it 38-14, then Pesansky connected with Dallas Payne for a 22-yard touchdown pass. However, Pesansky's two-point conversion pass was intercepted and returned for two points by Ahamad Chapman, making the score 40-20. UTSA added a McCown touchdown pass, a field goal and a TD run by Bryson Donnell in the fourth quarter. McCown completed 18 of 28 passes for 295 yards.   Owen McCown threw for five touchdowns, Will Henderson ran for 146 yards and UTSA became bowl eligible by beating East Carolina 58-24 on Saturday. McCown threw touchdown passes to DJ Allen Jr., David Amador II, Jaren Randle, Houston Thomas and AJ Wilson and completed 24 of 33 passes for 248 yards. Wilson did his rushing damage in just 19 carriers for a 7.7-yards per carry average. A'Marion Peterson reached the end zone once and had 10 carries for 32 yards.

McCown threw an 11-yard touchdown to Wilson and a 5-yarder to Thomas five minutes apart in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead. In the second, he connected with Amador on a 45-yard touchdown and an 8-yarder to Peterson. The Roadrunners (6-5, 4-3 American Athletic Conference) led 34-3 at halftime.   WEEK 10 AMERICAN CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Owen McCown, R-Jr., QB, UTSA,...McCown led UTSA to a 48-26 victory over Tulane on Thursday night in San Antonio. The redshirt junior was 31-of-33 for 370 yards and four touchdowns. McCown completed his first 16 passes, a school record, on the way to a 93.9 percent completion percentage, tied for the second-highest mark in conference history and a UTSA record. McCown threw a pair of TD passes to David Amador II and one apiece to Will Henderson III and Devin McCuin.   Owen McCown threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, Will Henderson III rushed for a career-high 185 yards and a score and UTSA beat Charlotte 28-7 on Saturday. McCown threw a a 45-yard TD to Devin McCuin for the first half's only points. Henderson ran for a 59-yard score late in the third quarter for a 14-0 lead for the Roadrunners (5-5, 3-3 American Conference).

McCown added a 7-yard TD pass to David Amador II with 10 minutes left. Derrick Eley returned the ensuing kickoff for an 88-yard touchdown for Charlotte's only points. The Roadrunners' final points came on their next drive, finished off on McCown's 2-yard run. McCown was 24-of-37 for 306 yards and was intercepted once. Henderson's 185 yards came on 19 carries.   Owen McCown was 31-of-33 passing for 370 yards and four touchdowns, David Amador II and Devin McCuin each had two touchdown catches, and UTSA beat Tulane 48-26 on Thursday night. UTSA (4-4, 2-2 American Conference) won its 22nd straight regular season conference game at home. The Roadrunners boast a 32-4 home record under Jeff Traylor, including a 43-36 loss to Texas State in a home opener this season. Tulane (6-2, 3-1), which received 59 votes in the latest AP poll, had a three-game winning streak halted after turning it over four times.

After Tulane opened the game with a 75-yard scoring drive, UTSA scored 31 straight points in the first half to take control. McCown's 16-yard pass to Will Henderson III put UTSA ahead 38-12 on the opening drive of the second half. Amador finished with 10 catches for 113 yards and McCuin added eight catches for 96 yards. The duo also connected on a touchdown when Amador found McCuin for a 21-yard grab to make it 24-6. Robert Henry Jr. rushed for 87 yards and Henderson had a touchdown on the ground for UTSA, which entered with a 100-yard rusher in six of seven games this season.   Owen McCown threw three first-half touchdown passes as UTSA rolled to an 61-13 rout over Rice on Saturday night. McCown completed 15 of 21 passes for 236 yards and connected with AJ Wilson, Devin McCuin and DJ Allen Jr. for scores. The trio of receivers combined for eight receptions for 194 yards for UTSA (3-3, 1-1 American). UTSA's Robert Henry Jr. opened the scoring with a short-touchdown run and Will Henderson broke loose for a 43-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter to help UTSA take a 38-10 lead into the break.

Henderson added a 57-yard TD run in the third quarter and finished with 115 yards rushing on just five carries. Henry had 64 yards on 12 carries. Kendrick Blackshire had a 17-yard pick-6 and Shad Banks Jr. scored on a 41-yard fumble return for the Roadrunners. Daelen Alexander had 129 yards rushing on 12 carries that included a 57-yard touchdown run for Rice (3-4, 1-3).   WEEK 3 PFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nate Robinson Jr., Marist (Sophomore, Defensive Back, San Antonio, Texas),...Robinson Jr.'s 10-tackle, two-pick day led a Marist defensive effort that allowed just 298 offensive yards in a 21-10 victory against Wagner on Saturday. He started strong, posting an interception and six tackles in the first quarter alone, with the interception coming three plays after the Red Foxes' first score. Robinson Jr. then helped solidify Marist's lead in the second quarter, picking off a pass after Marist took the lead for good. On the first drive of the second half, he notched three tackles, including an assist on a tackle-for-loss that stopped a 4th-and-1 opportunity.   Owen McCown threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Robert Henry Jr. with 4:49 remaining, and UTSA then prevented a 2-point conversion attempt to beat Colorado State 17-16 on Saturday night. Following Henry's go-ahead touchdown, Colorado State's Jackson Brousseau led a 13-play, 75-yard drive capped by a 4-yard touchdown pass to Rocky Beers with 29 seconds left. Isaiah Hankins' PAT was good but UTSA was called for an offside penalty and the Rams then attempted the 2-point conversion. Tahj Bullock threw an incomplete pass to Lloyd Avant and the Rams didn't recover the ensuing onside kick.

McCown completed 14 of 27 passes for 173 yards and threw two interceptions. Henry finished with 21 carries for 144 yards that included a 76-yard touchdown in the second quarter, and finished with two receptions for 76 yards for UTSA (2-2). Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi completed 14 of 25 passes for 176 yards and Brousseau was 10-of-12 passing for 78 yards. Avant ran for 96 yards on 10 carries to lead Colorado State (1-2).
