  2019 PRESEASON BUTKUS AWARD WATCH LIST: Chapelle Russell, Temple,...Russell enters his third year as a starter but the first with the benefit of a healthy preseason. He started all 13 games a year ago after recovering form ACL surgery for the second straight year. In 2018, he led the nation with five fumble recoveries, including one that he forced and recovered in the end zone for a touchdown.

Russell reached the 70 tackle plateau in each of the past two seasons despite missing the final four games in 2017. Overall in his career, he has started 23 of 32 games played with 165 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, 3.0 sacks, six fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles. - Temple Football

  2019 PRESEASON RIMINGTON TROPHY CANDIDATE: Matt Hennessy, Temple,...Hennessy has been a two year starter and an anchor in the middle of Temple' offensive line. He has started all 23 games in which he played over the past two seasons. According to Pro Football Focus, Hennessy was the highest graded center in FBS football in 2018 for those playing at least 475 snaps. He allowed zero sacks and zero QB hits, and just two hurries in 738 snaps.

A perfect blend of size, strength and intelligence, Hennessy leads the offensive line by making all the protection calls. Originally recruited by Harvard, he earned a degree in finance in just three years and is currently working towards his master's degree in innovation management and entrepreneurship.   2019 PRESEASON BEDNARIK AWARD CANDIDATE: LB Shaun Bradley, Temple,...Bradley leads Temple from his middle linebacker position. He enters his senior campaign as Temple's active leader with 169 tackles, averaging over 80 a season while starting 25 games over the past two years. He also has a penchant for big plays with 2.0 sacks, 14.0 TFLs, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles on his resume.

Temple awards single-digit jersey numbers to its toughest players and Bradley earned the number "5" entering his junior season. This is the first time Bradley has been named to any Watch List. He is among 80 players selected to the list, among, 25 linebackers, but one of only four players from the American Athletics Conference. - Temple Football
