  2025 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Joshua Dye (Southern Utah),...Joshua Dye, the second consecutive T-Bird running back named Offensive Player of the Year, consistently put up dominant numbers on the ground and rushed for a Division I (FCS & FBS) regular season leading 1,831 yards and 28 touchdowns. Averaging over 6 yards per carry, Dye finished as the FCS statistical champion in rushing yards per game (152.6 ypg), rushing touchdowns, total points scored (168), points per game (14.0 ppg), total rushing attempts (295), and finished top 15 in yards per carry. Dye claimed UAC Offensive Player of the Week honors four times this season. The redshirt-sophomore produced 10 games this season with 100-plus yards rushing including a pair of 200-plus yard contests capped by a season-best 221 yard effort against EKU. In just 11 games, Brown racked up 55 total tackles with a league leading 14 sacks and 18 tackles-for-loss, which ranked second in the UAC.The FCS regular season leader in Sacks per game at 1.27, Brown led SUU with 11 QB hurries and recorded a TFL in nine of 11 games this season highlighted by three games with 3.0 behind the line stops.   WEEK 12 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Southern Utah's Joshua Dye, a redshirt-sophomore running back, earned a second consecutive honor after racking up 181 yards on 39 carries in a important home game victory over UCA. He scored three touchdowns in the game to set a new Southern Utah single season program record for rushing touchdowns (25) and points scored (150). Dye still leads all of Division I (FCS & FBS) in rushing touchdowns and is now only nine yards behind from being the nation's leading rusher.   WEEK 11 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: A redshirt-sophomore running back, Southern Utah's Joshua Dye rushed for 221 yards on 33 carries for an average of 6.7 yards per attempt, and has now tallied over 1500 yards this season. He currently ranks second in the nation and is only 27 yards behind the FCS leader. Dye picked up three more rushing touchdowns against EKU, bringing his season total to a Divison I football leading 22 scores.   WEEK 10 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Southern Utah's Danny King was a kicking jack-of-all-trades in the T-Birds win over No. 22 Austin Peay. He was 2-for-2 on field goals, including a 43-yarder and a 52-yard blast that tied him for second longest in the SUU Record books. King netted 118 punting yards placing two of his three kicks inside the 20-yard line to keep the Govs offense pinned deep in their own territory.   WEEK 9 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: A redshirt-sophomore running back, Southern Utah's Joshua Dye turned in a season league-leading performance with 204 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. Dye averaged an impressive 8.5 yards per attempt and his stellar outing featured a 92-yard touchdown dash. He also caught one pass for 10 yards. Dye currently ranks third in the FCS in total rushing yards with 1,166 and leads all of Division I football with 18 rushing touchdowns. - United Athletic Conference Football

  Joshua Dye scored three touchdowns, including a game-tying score to force overtime in a comeback, for Southern Utah in its 36-34 double-overtime win over North Alabama on Saturday. Dye scored his second touchdown with 9:42 remaining to cut the Thunderbirds' (7-5, 6-2 United Athletic Conference) deficit to 28-21. The Lions (2-10, 1-7) chewed more than seven minutes on a 14-play, 50-yard drive, forcing three Thunderbirds' timeouts. Ian Vachon missed a field goal from 35 yards, and the Thunderbirds mounted a seven-play, 80-yard drive capped by a 3-yard touchdown run from Dye to send the game to overtime. Dye was stopped short on fourth-and-2 to open the extra period, but the Lions turned the ball over on a Roderick Taylor Jr. fumble.

Taylor scored on a 1-yard run in the second overtime, but the two-point conversion failed. The Thunderbirds answered with a 15-yard touchdown from Bronson Barren to Gabe Nunez, and a 2-yard rush from Shane Carr for the game-winning conversion. The Thunderbirds, who have won six straight games, never led until the game-winning score. Dye, who had already broken Southern Utah's single-season records for rushing touchdowns (23) and carries (271), added the net rushing yards record to his tally, finishing with 1,831 yards after a 108-yard day. John Austin Wood was 15-of-22 passing for 236 yards and a touchdown for North Alabama. Lando Brown entered the game No. 2 in FCS football in sacks, and added two, finishing with 14.0 on the year. It was the final game played at Braly Stadium for North Alabama, where its played since 1949. North Alabama moves to Bank Independent Stadium next season. - AP College Football

  Joshua Dye had 39 carries for 181 yards and scored on runs of 25, 15 and 3 yards Saturday night to help Southern Utah beat Central Arkansas 28-21. Bronson Barron, on second-and-goal from the 1, faked a handoff to Dye up the middle, rolled right and went untouched into the end zone to cap the scoring with four seconds left in the third quarter. Landen Chambers ran for a 4-yard touchdown late in the second quarter and capped a nine-play, 75-yard drive to open the second half with a 2-yard scoring run to give Central Arkansas (3-8, 2-5 United Athletic Conference) a 21-14 lead less than three minutes into the third quarter.

The Thunderbirds responded with a 12-play drive that took more than seven minutes off the clock and culminated with Dye's short TD run. A couple plays later, Mikey Allen intercepted a pass to give Southern Utah possession near midfield and set up Barron's go-ahead touchdown. Barron was 20-of-26 passing for 204 yards and threw an interception for Southern Utah (6-5, 5-2). Chambers finished with 110 yards rushing on 19 carries. Austin Myers was 17-of-32 passing for 224 yards and threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Malachi Henry that opened the scoring. - AP College Football

  Joshua Dye ran for a career-high 221 yards - his second 200-yard game in three weeks - and Southern Utah defeated Eastern Kentucky 27-17 on Saturday night. Dye carried 33 times and scored all three of the Thunderbirds' touchdowns. He passed his previous career high of 204 yards against Utah Tech on Oct. 25. He has 1,542 yards this season. The Thunderbirds and Colonels were tied at 17 at halftime before Southern Utah pitched a shutout in the second half. Eastern Kentucky was held to 254 total yards.

Southern Utah took the lead on a 32-yard field goal by Jayden Rogers midway through the third quarter and Dye capped off the win with a 1-yard TD run early in the fourth. Bronson Barron passed for 256 yards and Shane Carr had 124 yards on seven receptions for Southern Utah (5-5, 4-2 United Athletic Conference).   Joshua Dye ran for 155 yards and a touchdown to lead Southern Utah to a 33-17 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday night. Dye's 10-yard touchdown run stretched the lead to 17-7 midway through the second quarter for Southern Utah (4-5, 3-2 United Athletic Conference), which never trailed. Bronson Barron completed 15 of 23 passes for 184 yards for Southern Utah. Talmage Brown and Braedon Wissler also had touchdown runs for the Thunderbirds, who have won three straight since ending a five-game losing streak. Shane Carr and Gabe Nunez combined for 10 catches and 147 yards receiving. Chris Parson threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns for Austin Peay (5-4, 3-3), which entered ranked No. 24 in the FCS coaches' poll and has lost two of its last three games. - AP College Football

  Joshua Dye rushed for a career-high 204 yards with three touchdowns to power Southern Utah to a 28-7 victory over Utah Tech on Saturday night. Dye, a sophomore who did his damage on 24 carries for Southern Utah (3-5, 2-2 United Athletic Conference), scored on a 20-yard run to open the scoring in the first quarter. Will Burns ran it in for two points and Jayden Rogers added a 35-yard field goal for an 11-0 lead that held through a scoreless second quarter.

Dye had the lone score of the third quarter on a 13-yard run and upped the Thunderbirds' advantage to 25-0 with a 92-yard touchdown run with 11:29 left to play. He has already rushed for 1,166 yards this season, tops in the FCS. Bronson Barben had a 4-yard touchdown run with 7:08 remaining to help Utah Tech (1-7, 0-4) avoid the shutout. He had 233 yards on 27-for-41 passing with an interception. Rogers kicked a 22-yard field goal for the final margin. Bronson Barron completed 10 of 17 passes for 110 yards for the Thunderbirds.   WEEK 8 UNITED ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Southern Utah's junior linebacker Mason Stromstad was a huge part of the Thunderbirds' win over nationally-ranked Abilene Christian. He racked up a team-best 11 total tackles in the game, including six solo stops. Stromstad forced a fumble and secured the game-sealing interception with just under a minute to go in the game.   Joshua Dye ran for 179 yards and two scores, and Bronson Barron threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Shane Carr with 2:17 remaining to push Southern Utah past Abilene Christian 31-24 on Saturday night. Mason Stromstad intercepted a Stone Earle pass near midfield with 1:07 left to seal it for Southern Utah (2-5, 1-2 United Athletic Conference). Earle's 28-yard touchdown pass to Javon Gipson gave Abilene Christian a 24-21 lead with 12:07 left. Jayden Rogers kicked a 19-yard field goal for Southern Utah to tie it at 24-all.

Barron was 13-of-17 passing for 111 yards. Dye ran for an 18-yard touchdown to open the scoring and added a 1-yard score early in the third quarter to give Southern Utah a 21-17 lead. Mikey Allen had a 32-yard pick-6 for the Thunderbirds just before halftime. Earle completed 17 of 23 passes for 225 yards and threw three interceptions. Jordon Vaughn had 124 yards rushing on nine carries and Gipson had three catches for 77 yards for Abilene Christian (3-4, 2-1). - AP College Football
