  NOV 11 SOUTHLAND DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ferlando Jordan, Southeastern Louisiana, R-So., Defensive Back, Atlanta, Ga.,...Jordan intercepted a pair of passes and led the team with four pass breakups in a dominating upset of Central Arkansas. His assignment was freshman standout Tyler Hudson, who entered the day with eight touchdown catches but finished with just one grab. Jordan shares the Southland lead with five interceptions and has returned three of his picks for touchdowns.   NOV 11 STATS FCS NATIONAL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cole Kelley, Southeastern Louisiana, QB, Jr., 6-7, 260, Lafayette, Louisiana,...Kelley has been productive off the bench all season, and he came on to lead Southeastern Louisiana to a 34-0 win at then-No. 7 Central Arkansas in the Southland Conference. The Arkansas transfer accounted for all five of the Lions' touchdowns, tying the school's single-game record with four on the ground and throwing for one more. He completed 20 of 24 passes for 273 yards and finished with 312 yards of total offense. With their second Top 10 win, the Lions moved into a four-way tie for first place in the conference.

  Cole Kelley passed for a touchdown and ran for four more and Southeastern Louisiana beat Central Arkansas 34-0 on Saturday to move into a four-way tie for first in the Southland Conference standings. Kelley was 20-of-24 passing for 273 yards and added 15 carries for 39 yards. Central Arkansas (7-3, 5-2) was shutout for the first time since a 19-0 loss at Delta State on Oct. 7, 1995.

Kelley's 9-yard touchdown run opened the scoring with 5:52 left in the first quarter and the Bears responded with a 12-play, 72-yard drive that stalled inside the 10 before Hayden Ray missed a 27-yard field-goal attempt. Kelley added a pair of 2-yard scoring runs to five Southeastern Louisiana (6-3, 5-2) a 21-0 lead at halftime. The Lions intercepted three passed in the second half -- two by Ferlando Jordan -- and Kelley added a 6-yard TD pass to Javon Conner in the third quarter and a 1-yard scoring run in the fourth to cap the scoring. Central Arkansas, which went into the game averaging 314.4 yards passing, was limited to 193. The Bears, who entered the weekend ranked No. 6 in the FCS Coaches poll, and Lions are tied with Nicholls and Sam Houston State atop the conference standings. - AP College Football

  Cole Kelley threw for a touchdown and ran for two more scores as Southeastern Louisiana moved ahead early and led all the way to beat Stephen F. Austin 47-30 on Saturday night. Kelley, who took over for starting quarterback Chason Virgil, had 77 yards passing and 46 yards rushing for the Lions (5-3, 4-2 Southland Conference). Virgil threw for 122 yards and a score. Kelley ran for a touchdown late in the first quarter, but the 2-point conversion run failed, leaving it at 6-0. Following the kickoff, Xavier Lewis intercepted Trae Self and returned it 15 yards, setting up an 8-yard touchdown run by Ed Magee four plays later.

Kelley followed an SFA touchdown with his second scoring run, but the point after was blocked and the Lions led 19-7. The Lumberjacks (1-8, 1-5) tacked on a field goal before the break to make it 19-10 at halftime. Stephen F. Austin closed to 19-17 early in the third but would not get closer as the Lions scored four more touchdowns in the second half, including on a 65-yard interception return by Ferlando Jordan.   Chason Virgil threw for three touchdowns and a career-high 388 yards as Southeastern Louisiana dominated Houston Baptist 52-13 in Southland Conference play on Saturday. Virgil had scoring tosses to four receivers as the Lions amassed 489 yards passing. They finished with 634 yards of offense while holding Houston Baptist to just 259 total yards. Austin Mitchell had just two catches for 89 yards as he broke one for 70 yards and a touchdown late in the third. Lorenzo Nunez caught only one pass, but it was for 80 yards and a score. CJ Turner had seven catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. Matt DeBlaiso hauled in the other touchdown toss.

The Lions (4-3, 3-2) were leading by eight late in the second quarter when Ferlando Jordan picked off Bailey Zappe and returned it 97 yards for a 21-6 lead. The Huskies (4-5, 1-4) answered when Jerreth Sterns scored from the 6 with 2:05 left in the first half. The Lions responded when Virgil hit Turner on a 15-yard scoring toss to go into the half ahead 28-13. It was all Southeastern Louisiana in the second half as the Lions scored 24 unanswered points.   Chason Virgil threw for 344 yards and a touchdown, and Taron Jones scored twice on the ground and Southeastern Louisiana beat Northwestern State 44-27 on Saturday night. Trailing 20-17 midway through the third quarter, Southeastern Louisiana (3-1, 2-0 Southland) blew the game open with three touchdowns in a seven-minute span. Jones' five-yard TD run ended a six-play, 67-yard drive with 7:07 left in the third. Following a three-and-out, backup quarterback Cole Kelley threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Turner with 5:59 remaining in the quarter. Following another Northwestern State (0-5, 0-2) punt, Kendall Collins Jr., ran it in from 25 yards out to end an eight-play, 86-yard drive for a 37-20 lead just before the quarter ended. Jones carried 18 times for 108 yards and Turner caught seven passes for 128 receiving yards. Shelton Eppler completed 35 of 55 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns for the Demons.   Chason Virgil had four touchdown passes and threw for 307 yards to lead Southeastern Louisiana to a 45-34 victory over Lamar on Saturday night in a Southland Conference opener. Lamar (2-2, 0-1) led 24-21 at halftime, but Southeastern Louisiana (2-1, 1-0) answered when Virgil threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Javon Conner and a 50-yarder to Austin Mitchell in under two minutes midway through the third quarter. Cole Kelley's 14-yard TD pass to Conner stretched the Lions' lead to 42-27.

Virgil was 26-of-34 passing. Mitchell had five catches for 136 yards with two touchdowns. CJ Turner also caught a touchdown pass and Devonte Williams ran for a score for the Lions. Myles Wanza's 3-yard touchdown run pulled Lamar to 42-34 with 11:47 to play. The Lions used a 15-play, 87-yard drive, capped by Bryce Broussard's 19-yard field goal with 1:48 remaining, to put the game out of reach.   Chason Virgil and Cole Kelley combined to throw for three touchdowns as Southeastern Louisiana upset defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Jacksonville State 35-14 in the season opener on Thursday night. The Lions jumped in front and stayed there after Devonte Williams ran in from the 4 and Kelley hit Bransen Schwebel from the 5 in the first quarter. Jacksonville State's Josh Pearson hauled in a 33-yard scoring toss from Zerrick Cooper to close to 14-7 early in the second quarter, but did not score again until the fourth quarter to set the final score.

Jacksonville State, which has won the Ohio Valley championship for the past five years, opened the season ranked No. 6 in the Football Championship Subdivision. Virgil finished with 164 yards passing and one score while Kelley threw for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Devonte Williams hauled in a 58-yard touchdown toss from Virgil to go up 21-7 at the break. Ferlando Jordan added a 65-yard interception return for a score to go ahead 28-7 with 10:45 remaining in the third.
