  Lamagea McDowell ran for two touchdowns and Prairie View A&M remained unbeaten in the Southwestern Athletic Conference with a 24-3 win over Southern on Saturday. McDowell ran for a 15-yard touchdown at the start of the second quarter for the game's first points and the Panthers (5-2, 4-0) went on to a 17-0 lead after Cameron Peters' 13-yard TD pass to Jyzaiah Rockwell and Aiden Webb's 30-yard field goal at the end of the half. McDowell added a 1-yard TD late in the game. Peters was 19-of-31 passing for 224 yards. McDowell finished with 56 yards on 16 carries and Chase Bingmon 64 on 13 plus another 52 yards receiving. Ashton Strother threw for 81 yards and an interception and Trey Holly rushed for 99 yards on 21 carries for the Jaguars (1-6, 0-3).   Lamagea McDowell ran for 98 yards and a touchdown, and Prairie View A&M scored a TD in each quarter to beat Grambling 28-13 on Saturday night. McDowell's 1-yard TD run stretched the Panthers' lead to 21-6 midway through the third quarter. C'zavian Teasett's 16-yard touchdown pass to Keith Jones Jr. pulled Grambling to 21-13 with 8:25 remaining. Chase Bingmon's 15-yard touchdown run with about two minutes left capped a six-play, 80-yard drive that sealed it for Prairie View A&M (3-2, 2-0 Southwestern Conference). Tevin Carter and Cameron Bonner also had short touchdown runs in the first half for the Panthers. Teasett completed 21 of 43 passes for 161 yards and threw three interceptions.   Chase Bingmon rushed for 180 yards, Lamagea McDowell added 104 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and Prairie View A&M defeated Northwestern State 27-24 on Saturday night. The Panthers (2-2) managed almost 500 yards of total offense, with nearly 350 coming on the ground. They were 4 for 5 in the red zone and scored on three straight drives in the first half to lead 15-10 entering halftime. Tevin Carter was 15-of-22 passing for 148 yards, and he had a 56-yard rushing touchdown to score Prairie View's first points of the game. Jyzaiah Rockwell had five catches for 84 yards.

Aiden Webb connected on two field goals of 28 and 20 yards and was 1 for 2 on extra points for Prairie View. Defensively, Travor Randle had 14 total tackles and one interception that he returned for 32 yards. Abram Johnston was 12 of 19 for 156 yards and two touchdowns, and he rushed for 71 yards and another touchdown for the Demons (1-3). He connected with Ben Buisson for a 44-yard score to bring Northwestern State within striking distance with four minutes to go.   Trazon Connley threw a career-high five touchdown passes on eight completions and Prairie View A&M beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 55-24 on Saturday. Connley was 8 of 15 for 193 yards for the Southwestern Athletic Conference West leaders (6-4, 5-2). His touchdowns went to five different receivers. Three of Connley's touchdowns came in the second quarter - including his longest scoring throw of the game, 45 yards to Jailon Howard - as the Panthers took a 28-17 lead at halftime. Two more Connley touchdown passes made it 41-17 with five minutes left in the third quarter. Chris Herron had a passing and receiving touchdown for the Panthers.   Trazon Connley ran for four touchdowns and passed for a fifth to lead Prairie View A&M to a 64-48 win over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday. The teams combined for 1,124 yards of offense with the Panthers taking control with touchdowns on four straight possessions in the second half, two of them started by turnovers. Connley scored on three straight possessions on runs of 4, 5 and 1 yard and iced it when Bryce Turner returned a fumble 21 yards for a touchdown in the final minute. Jaden Stewart carried 21 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns, including one in the pivotal fourth quarter for the Panthers (5-3, 4-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Connley had 133 yards on 24 carries as A&M piled up 340 yards on the ground. Connley completed 18 of 24 passes for 234 yards. Bernard Goodwater had the touchdown catch.   Trazon Connley ran for three touchdowns and passed for two more to lead Prairie View A&M to a 54-21 victory over winless Lamar on Saturday. Jaden Stewart rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries and Ahmad Antoine had 100 on seven with a score for the Panthers (4-3, 3-1 Southland Conference), who piled up 301 yards on the ground. Stewart opened the scoring with a 56-yard touchdown run on the fifth snap of the game.

Connley was 15-of-21 passing for 179 yards, connecting with Collier Ricks and Colbey Washington, for scores of 16 and 21 yards, respectively. He also ran the ball 12 times for 119 yards. Connley's TD runs covered 7, 38 and 5 yards. Lamar (0-7, 0-3) picked up 358 yards rushing, led by Khalan Griffin with 114. Conley finished 14-for-19 passing for 180 yards with the touchdown and an interception. His 16-yard scoring run put the Panthers (2-2, 0-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) on the board first. Later, his 2-yard run with 5:59 before halftime made it 14-6. Ahmad Antoine ran for 66 yards on 12 carries for the Panthers.   Jaden Stewart, Ahmad Antoine and Trazon Connley all rushed for more than 100 yards and Prairie View A&M defeated Texas Southern 40-23 on Saturday night in the 37th Labor Day Classic. The win came in the first game for Prairie View coach Bubba McDowell, a former Texas Southern assistant. His Panthers did not complete a pass but churned out 388 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Panthers QBs were 0-for-6 passing with two interceptions. Stewart had 119 yards with two touchdowns, Antoine 115 yards with one touchdown and Connley 109 yards with two touchdowns, including a 70-yard score. Texas Southern managed just 166 yards of offense but got rushing touchdowns from Ladarius Owens and Jacorey Howard.
