  Trey Lance threw for two touchdowns, Ty Brooks ran for two and FCS top-ranked North Dakota State rolled up 700 yards offense in beating South Dakota 49-14 to clinch the Missouri Valley Football Conference championship on Saturday. This is the ninth straight title for the two-time defending national champions (11-0, 7-0) and their 32nd consecutive victory, the nation's longest active Division I win streak. The Bison can tie their FCS-record 33-game streak from 2012-14 next Saturday at Southern Illinois.

Ty Brooks and Adam Cofield ran for first-quarter touchdowns and Lance threw second-quarter scoring passes of 32 yards to Ben Ellefson and 43 to Christian Watson as the Bison took a 28-7 halftime lead. The lead reached 49-7 before Coyotes (4-7, 3-4) scored their other touchdown with seven minutes remaining in the game. Lance was a tidy 12-of-15 passing for 249 yards.   Freshman Jalen Bussey sprinted 65 yards for a touchdown on his first collegiate carry and finished with 123 yards as FCS top-ranked North Dakota State rolled to its 31st consecutive victory, beating Western Illinois 57-21 on Saturday. Bussey burst through the line early in the fourth quarter to give the Bison (10-0, 6-0 Missouri Valley Football Conference) a 47-14 lead and added the game's final touchdown on a 45-yard run with just under nine minutes left. Trey Lance ran 23 yards for a touchdown and passed 88 yards to Josh Babicz and 51 to Christian Watson for TDs for NDSU, which has beaten the Leathernecks (1-9, 1-5) seven consecutive times. Dimitri Williams added two rushing touchdowns. Watson had 121 yards receiving. NDSU led 27-0 at halftime and 40-7 heading in the final quarter as it rolled up 688 yards of offense.   Trey Lance threw for three touchdowns and ran for another and top-ranked North Dakota State beat Youngstown State 56-17 on Saturday night to extend its win streak to 30 games. Lance went 7 of 9 for 160 yards with no interceptions and Kobe Johnson scored on a 94-yard kickoff return and a 75-yard run. The freshman running back finished with 241 all-purpose yards, including 103 rushing. NDSU (9-0, 5-0 Missouri Valley Football Conference) went three-and-out on the game's opening possession but Youngstown State's Jake Coates muffed the punt, Ross Kennelly recovered it for the Bison at the 25 and, four plays later, Lance scored on a 9-yard run.

The Penguins were forced to punt on their ensuing possession and, after Lance ran for 17 yards on third-and-7 from the 17, he hit Christian Watson in stride for a 69-yard touchdown on a play-action pass to make it 14-0 with 5:22 left in the first quarter. Youngstown State then went three-and-out and Lance connected with Josh Babicz for a 6-yard touchdown about four minutes later. Backup quarterback Joe Craycraft, who replaced starter Nathan Mays late in the first quarter, threw a 23-yard TD pass to Miles Joiner to get the Penguins (5-4, 1-4) on the scoreboard with 55 seconds left in the second quarter but Johnson's return made it 42-7 at halftime. Mays suffered a gruesome leg injury while sliding at the end of a 3-yard run and is expected to miss the rest of the season. - AP College Football

  A 71-yard touchdown run with 2:32 left in the game lifted No. 1 North Dakota State to a 23-16 victory over then-No. 3 South Dakota State. This was the Bison's 10th win in 16 matchups for the Dakota Marker trophy and their 29th straight victory. South Dakota State fell two spots to No. 5 in this week's AFCA FCS Coaches' Top 25 Poll. James Madison defeated then-No. 17 Towson, 27-10, to remain at No. 2. Weber State checks in at No. 3 following their 36-20 victory over then-No. 22 UC Davis.

The Wildcats will hit the road to take on No. 6 Sacramento State this week. Kennesaw State remains at No. 4 following its decisive 41-17 victory over North Alabama. The other Top 25 matchup sends No. 10 Northern Iowa to No. 7 Illinois State in another big Missouri Valley Football Conference game. Wofford makes its return to the Top 25 following a 35-34 overtime victory over Chattanooga and checks in at No. 20.
