  01/13/21 - Dedrick MillsrSr/2021, Nebraska, 5-10, 217 (DS#40 RB) + More +

Nebraska senior running back Dedrick Mills sought out Scott Frost right before the regular-season finale at Rutgers. There was a sense of urgency in Mills' voice. "I told Coach Frost, 'I ain't going to lie to you, this game I just need the ball," Mills said Tuesday. "He was already talking about the cold and how there wasn't going to be much of a passing game. I knew it was going to be more of a running-type game. "He even asked me what my favorite play was." Mills prefers the inside zone game. He wanted to test the middle of Rutgers' defense. The plan worked extremely well. He rushed 25 times for 191 yards in his team's 28-21 win Dec. 18 in Piscataway, New Jersey. It ended up being Mills' final game as a Husker. The 24-year-old Georgia native announced Tuesday that he is turning his sights to professional football rather than returning to Nebraska and using the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA. The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Mills finished the season with 84 carries for 396 yards (4.7 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. He also had 12 receptions for 85 yards. - Lincoln Journal Star

  01/13/21 - Brandon MoorerSr/2023, Nebraska, 6-0, 174 (DS#173 CB) + More +

Former UCF cornerback Brandon Moore, who contributed to the Knights' undefeated season in 2017, is transferring to Florida State for his final year of eligibility. He follows close friend and former UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton, who also has transferred to FSU. Milton and Moore have spent much of the past two seasons together while recovering from knee injuries. Moore, a redshirt senior and Sanford Seminole High alum, has not played since suffering a torn ACL in the 2019 season opener that sidelined him for the rest of the 2019 season and all of 2020. He entered the NCAA transfer portal Sunday. - Orlando Sentinel

  01/12/21 - Samori TourerSr/2022, Nebraska, 6-1, 191 (DS#28 WR) + More +

Toure is the second graduate transfer from the FCS level that will be jumping on board with the Huskers this month, joining Northern Iowa linebacker Chris Kolarevic. Graduate transfers don't technically sign a National Letter of Intent, but the pair, along with four-star linebacker Wynden Ho'ohuli (Mililani, Hawaii), puts Nebraska's 2021 recruiting class at 22 players total. That leaves the Huskers with three spots to use the rest of the offseason. They are still involved with at least one high school player (Omaha Westside defensive back Avante Dickerson, who is verbally committed to Minnesota). - Lincoln Journal Star

  01/06/21 - Cam Taylor-BrittSr/2022, Nebraska, 5-11, 196 (DS#10 CB) + More +

Nebraska cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt, arguably the Husker defense's best player, has decided to return for his senior season. The 6-foot, 215-pound Alabama native said Monday on Twitter, "After much thought and consideration...Let's take it back for one more ride Husker Nation." A second-team All-Big Ten selection by league coaches, Taylor-Britt recorded 28 tackles this season while making two interceptions and breaking up four passes. He was also the team's leading punt returner with six for 79 yards (13.2 per return). In 2019, Taylor-Britt ranked third nationally with four forced fumbles, the most by any Husker since 1999. - Lincoln Journal Star

  01/04/21 - JoJo DomannrSr/2022, Nebraska, 6-1, 230 (DS#7 OLB) + More +

Outside linebacker JoJo Domann announced Saturday afternoon that he is returning to Nebraska next year and will take advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted to all players by the NCAA due to the coronavirus pandemic. That, of course, is a major boost for the Blackshirts. Domann not only led Nebraska in tackles (58) and tied for the team lead in tackles for loss (6½), but he's a versatile player who in 2020 showed himself capable of holding up against the run and also playing in coverage. He tied senior cornerback Dicaprio Bootle for the team lead with five pass breakups, and forced two fumbles and recovered one while playing in all eight games. Domann's return is made even more significant by the fact that NU lacks depth at outside linebacker overall. Assistant coach Mike Dawson helped the group develop in 2020 and NU saw progress from players such as junior Caleb Tannor and sophomore Garrett Nelson, but nobody else in the room had shown so far the capability of being an every-down player like Domann was. - Lincoln Journal Star

  01/02/21 - Dicaprio BootlerSr/2021, Nebraska, 5-10, 180 (DS#44 CB) + More +

Saying his time at Nebraska has been nothing short of amazing, Husker senior cornerback Dicaprio Bootle has decided to enter the NFL Draft. He made the announcement Tuesday night via Twitter. He totaled 26 pass breakups in his Nebraska career, which ranks ninth in program history. Although he had only one interception, he was a model of consistency and respected enough by his teammates to be named one of five team captains in 2020. - Lincoln Journal Star

Stoll played in 43 games in his NU career and finished with 61 catches for 657 yards and six touchdowns. - Lincoln Journal Star
