Tyrique Stevenson has entered the transfer portal, per a report from Matt Zenitz of AL.com. Stevenson joined the program as a 2019 signee and former top recruit from Miami. He finished his sophomore season but has three seasons of eligibility remaining due to the NCAA waiver created during the pandemic. Stevenson's departure serves as another blow to Georgia's secondary, which lost safety Richard LeCounte, cornerbacks Tyson Campbell and Eric Stokes and nickelback Mark Webb Jr. Stevenson had progressed into an emerging star for Georgia over his two seasons in Athens. The former four-star recruit had a strong performance in last season's SEC championship game and followed it with significant playing time in 2020. - Macon Telegraph

Another top Miami Hurricanes player has chosen to return to UM next season instead of entering the 2021 NFL Draft. But this time it's on the defensive side of the ball. Redshirt junior safety Bubba Bolden, a 2020 semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, will stay at Miami to hone his already considerable all-around skills and likely raise his draft stock in 2022. Bolden's decision, announced Tuesday in a video, came despite news that UM safeties coach and co-defensive coordinator Ephraim Banda is leaving Miami to become the Utah State defensive coordinator. - Miami Herald

  01/02/21 - CamRon HarrisSr/2022, Miami, 5-09, 214 (DS#33 RB) + More +

University of Miami junior leading rusher Cam'Ron Harris has reaffirmed his devotion to the Hurricanes and announced Friday on Twitter that he will return for next season rather than enter the NFL Draft. Harris, who started and ended the season strong for the Hurricanes but struggled on and off in between, posted on social media in late October that he was "disrespected" after subpar performance against Clemson, Pittsburgh and Virginia.

But Harris will be back for at least one more year. The NCAA has granted every player an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 pandemic, although Harris still had eligibility remaining. The former consensus four-star prospect was rated the nation's seventh-best running back out of Miami Carol City High and became Miami's featured tailback this season after DeeJay Dallas was drafted in the fourth round by the Seattle Seahawks. Harris has run for 643 yards and a team-leading 10 touchdowns on 126 carries in 11 games this season, averaging 5.1 yards a carry. - Miami Herald
