  Dante Perri tossed an 11-yard touchdown pass to Eric Johnson in the end zone with 22 seconds left and Lehigh beat Colgate 36-33 in a wild finish on Saturday. There were three touchdowns scored inside the last four minutes. Jack DiPietro broke loose for a 17-yard touchdown run that stretched Lehigh's lead to 29-26 with 3:58 remaining. Michael Brescia's 1-yard plunge into the end zone gave Colgate the lead with 1:15 left. Perri then drove the Leopards 73 yards in 5-plays for the win. Perri threw for 424 yards on 25-of-33 passing and two touchdowns for Lehigh (2-8, 2-3 Patriot League), which snapped a seven-game losing streak. Johnson had 208 yards receiving on 11 receptions. Jalen Burbage caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Brescia was 23 of 32 for 315 yards passing, threw two touchdown passes and an interception, and finished with 41 yards rushing for Colgate (3-7, 2-3 Patriot League). - Lehigh/AP College Football

  Johnny Foley caught a blocked punt late in the second quarter and ran it in for a go-ahead touchdown as Lehigh defeated Lafayette 17-10 on Saturday in the 157th meeting of college football's most-played rivalry. With the score tied 7-7 and Lafayette punting deep in its own territory, three Lehigh defenders burst through the line with Jack DiPietro blocked the attempted punt and Foley catching it as it came down, going 12 yards for the TD. It was the fifth blocked punt of the season for the Mountain Hawks (3-8, 3-3 Patriot League). Lafayette (3-8, 2-4) held Lehigh to a field goal in the second half, but was unable to score, ending a nine-play drive to the 19 with an incompletion on fourth-and-seven.   Dante Perri threw a pair of touchdown passes and Dylan Van Dusen kicked three field goals as Lehigh won its second straight game Saturday, knocking off Georgetown 23-9. The Mountain Hawks opened the season with eight straight losses. Lehigh's defense limited the Hoyas to just 33 rushing yards and 237 yards of offense. Van Dusen connected on a 23-yard field goal and Perri found Roemello Miner with a 34-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to send the Mountain Hawks into intermission with a 10-0 lead, but the Hoyas came back in the third quarter when Joseph Brunnell hit Joshua Tomas with a 4-yard pass.

Following a 28-yard Van Dusen field goal to make it 13-7, the Hoyas turned a bad snap on a Lehigh punt into a safety that pulled Georgetown within four, 13-9. Lehigh (2-8, 2-3 Patriot League) drove 31 yards on their next possession and Van Dusen converted from 37-yards out to make it 16-9 and Perri capped the scoring with an 11-yard pass to Johnny Foley with 6:08 left. Perri finished with 259 yards on 22-for-32 passing without throwing an interception. Jalen Burbage caught eight passes for 86 yards. Brunell was 23 of 38 for 204 yards to lead Georgetown (2-7, 1-5). The Mountain Hawks play Lafayette in the 157th renewal of the most-played rivalry game in the country Saturday. - Lehigh/AP College Football

  2019 ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DB: Sam McCloskey, Lehigh, Sr.,...McCloskey wrapped up his Lehigh career with a second straight second-team honor. A three-year team captain, McCloskey started all 11 games at safety, finishing fifth on the Mountain Hawks with 36 tackles. He added 2.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups and recovered two fumbles, both in Lehigh's season-opener against Saint Francis, the second of which was returned for a touchdown. He finished second on the Mountain Hawks with 97 tackles and ranked second on the team with 4.5 sacks and third with 10 tackles for loss. Haffner picked off a pair of passes in Lehigh's November 2 game versus Holy Cross and was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. He played in all 11 games as a cornerback and as a key member of Lehigh's kickoff, kickoff return, punt and punt return units. Six of Bush's nine tackles in 2019 came on special teams, with four stops on kickoffs and two on punt returns.   2019 ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): WR: Devon Bibbens, Lehigh, Sr.,...Bibbens saved his best for his senior campaign. The Patriot League's leader in receiving yards per game, Bibbens finished with 859 yards on 67 receptions with six touchdowns. Bibbens also ranked second in the Patriot League in receptions per game. He finished with three 100-yard receiving games, highlighted by a career-high 133-yard effort against Merrimack that included an 80-yard reception. Bibbens had a career-high 11 receptions for 92 yards at Bucknell and was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after catching 10 passes for 83 yards and scoring two touchdowns at Fordham. He showed his well-roundedness as a receiver by delivering the key block on freshman Zaythan Hill's Patriot League-record 94-yard touchdown run and also by catching the game-winning touchdown in overtime. - Lehigh Football
