  2022 PRESEASON STATS PERFORM FCS FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: QB - Xavier Shepherd, 6-0, 205, junior, Kennesaw State (2021 All-Purpose),...The reigning Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Year recorded multiple accolades at the ASUN Conference's inaugural Media Day July 22. The Nashville native was selected as the conference's first Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and was named to the Preseason All-ASUN Team at quarterback. Kennesaw State finished 11-2 in 2021 and ranked 10th in the final AFCA coaches poll. The Owls recorded their fifth all-time playoff win and fourth consecutive fall season with 10-or-more victories.   2022 PRESEASON ASUN FOOTBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM: QB Xavier Shepherd, Kennesaw State, Jr., Nashville, Tenn.,...Shepherd took over as a starter in week two of the 2021 season. The KSU signal-caller went on to lead the FCS in rushing touchdowns (23) and set a new school record for passing touchdowns in both a single season (15) and a single game (4). During his sophomore campaign, Shepherd was named a STATS Perform FCS First Team All-American, HERO Sports First Team All-American and Associated Press Third Team All-American.   2022 PRESEASON ASUN OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Xavier Shepherd, Kennesaw State,...Shepherd, a junior quarterback, was the Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 and a Walter Payton Award finalist. The Nashville, Tenn., native received All-American honors from STATS Perform (First Team), HERO Sports (First Team) and AP (Third Team) after setting school records for single-season passing touchdowns (15) and touchdown passes in a game (4).   Kennesaw State's Xavier Shepherd and Eastern Kentucky's Matthew Jackson were voted the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, in the 2022 ASUN Conference Preseason Football honors, announced by the league office on Friday. North Alabama led the way with seven members on the Preseason All-Conference Team followed by the Colonels with six while the remaining four schools each collected four picks. Kennesaw State was favored in the ASUN Coaches Poll with four first-place votes with UCA and EKU finishing in a tie for second place. JSU, Austin Peay and North Alabama rounded out the poll with the Bears and Governors each garnering a first-place vote. - ASUN Football

Robertson converted on 45-of-45 PATs and went 9-for-12 on field goal attempts. The senior kicked a career long 48-yard field goal at Robert Morris which set a new school record.
