Kenan Christon only got in the game because the first three tailbacks on Southern California's depth chart were all hurt and the fourth-stringer had just fumbled. With the eye-popping speed that made him California's 100-meter high school champion last May, the freshman scored two blazing touchdowns to clinch a blowout win over Arizona. Although the Trojans are barely outrunning their injury woes, they've still got talent that can burn. They're also still leading the Pac-12 South after a 41-14 victory over the Wildcats on Saturday night.

Christon rushed for 88 of his 103 yards in the fourth quarter of an electrifying debut for the Trojans (4-3, 3-1 Pac-12). The San Diego native flew past the Arizona secondary on a 55-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter, and he added a 30-yard TD sprint down the middle less than five minutes later. "There's a lot of great football players on this team, so it's hard to judge his speed," USC coach Clay Helton said. "But it's nice to have that feeling and know that when the play breaks, if he's even, he's leavin'." Kedon Slovis threw touchdown passes to Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Vaughns as USC remained unbeaten at the Coliseum this season and atop the division alongside Utah, which lost to USC last month. - USC/AP College Football

Derrick Ponder passed for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Adrian Salazar kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime as Jackson State rallied past Mississippi Valley State 31-28 on Saturday. Elvia Payton broke up a third-down pass in overtime, forcing the Delta Devils to try a 44-yard field goal, which missed. Salazar lined up the winner from 34 yards. Jackson State (2-5, 1-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) fell into a hole as MVSU (1-6, 0-3) scored 21 unanswered points to open the game. Ponder threw a 19-yard TD to DD Bowie to get the Tigers on the board just before halftime and start a 28-0 run. Freshman Kymari Clarke's 7-yard TD run gave the Tigers a 28-21 lead with 1:21 remaining in the fourth quarter. Dejerric Bryant sent the game into OT when his 7-yard touchdown run knotted the score at 28-28 with 28 seconds left in regulation. Clarke led all rushers with 171 yards on 20 carries. - AP College Football

On the first play of the fourth, Brown's scoring pass to Johnson ended a 15-play, 98-yard drive that lasted almost nine minutes. After forcing the Sharks (0-6, 0-5) to punt, Brown connected with Jenkins to seal it. Clay Beathard threw for 157 yards for Long Island. The game was the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The Red Flash were the only Northeast Conference team the Sharks had never faced in the 62-year history of the program. - AP College Football
