  2022 ALL-SIAC CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM: LB Kentrell Lawson, Fort Valley State, Sophomore, Marianna, FL,...The FVSU linebacking corps are in good hands for the next couple seasons with both Kentrell Lawson and Dialo Mosley leading it. The two All-SIAC Second Team members combined for 111 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks and five quarterback hurries. Lawson, a sophomore from Marianna, Fla., registered 55 stops with 5.5 tackles for loss and a sack from the middle backer spot. The All-SIAC Second Team wide receiver finished with a team-best 657 yards on 34 catches and three touchdowns. He averaged 19.3 yards per catch and 65.7 yards receiving per game. The one-time SIAC Newcomer of the Year recorded four 100-plus yard games with seven catches for 143 yards and a score versus Allen, three grabs for 109 yards at Bluefield State, seven receptions for 129 yards at Central State and another six catches for 114 yards and a touchdown at Clark Atlanta. - Fort Valley State Football

  2022 ALL-SIAC CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM: Punt Returner Hakeem Ellington, Fort Valley State, R-Junior, Summerville, S.C.,...Ellington (Summerville, S.C.) starts the FVSU list of All-SIAC Second Team members at punt returner. The 2022 All-SIAC Preseason Second Team punt returner showed he was up to the early season attention. Ellington returned 16 punts for 110 yards along with another 11 kick-off returns for 248 yards (22.55 yard per return). The redshirt junior averaged 6.9 yards per punt return and he had a long return of 32 yards. The wide receiver also caught 11 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. - Fort Valley State Football

  2022 ALL-SIAC CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM: RB Emanuel Wilson, Fort Valley State, R-Junior, Charlotte, N.C.,...Leading the way, Wilson proved to be the best running back of the SIAC and one of the top in all of NCAA Division II. The Charlotte, N.C., native grabbed the SIAC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards. The All-SIAC First Team back ranks in the top 10 of NCAA DII in all-purpose yards (6th, 161.0 ypg), rushing yards per game (7th, 137.1 ypg), rushing yards (7th, 1,371 yards) and rushing touchdowns (9th, 17 TDs). The SIAC's leader by over 34 yards per game on the ground, Wilson led the Conference in scoring (11.4 ppg) to go with being the top in the other rushing categories. The senior safety posted 65 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and seven pass breakups in 10 games. The 2021 All-SIAC Second Teamer posted his top tackle game with 10 against SIAC Champion Benedict College to go with a tackle for loss and two breakups.   2022 ALL-SIAC CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM: TE Gentry Sparks, Fort Valley State, Sophomore, Tallahassee, FL,...The top pass-catcher of his position, Sparks (Tallahassee, Fla.) received his first All-SIAC First Team award. The tight end pulled in 14 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in his first year starting for the Wildcats. The sophomore pulled in at least one reception in nine of the team's 10 games with a season-high three catches and 37 yards with his touchdown against Morehouse College. He added two grabs against each of Allen, Clark Atlanta and Benedict. The redshirt freshman was voted the top at his position to the All-SIAC First Team after he passed for 1,994 yards on 147 of 242 passes for 16 touchdowns to only four interceptions.   2022 ALL-SIAC CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM: DL Tim Alderman, Fort Valley State, Sophomore, Fort Valley, GA,...One of the top two Conference defensive linemen, Alderman, was voted to his first appearance on the All-SIAC First Team. After a solid true freshman year, the 2022 All-SIAC Preseason Second Team member did not disappoint. Alderman finished second in the league with 14 tackles for loss, double his total from a year ago, and 7.5 sacks, also double from 2021, while he helped FVSU record the top SIAC run defense at 115.5 yards allowed per game. The Fort Valley, Ga., hometown product also increased his total tackles to 44 and led the Wildcats with 14 quarterback hurries. The young kicker from Covington, Ga., led the SIAC in scoring by kickers (5.8 ppg) and third overall scoring per game. The two-time SIAC Special Teams Player of the Week converted a league-best seven field goals and finished second with 34 point after attempts made. His top performance came when he went 3 for 3 in field goals, 5 for 5 in point after attempts and averaged 45.7 yards per punt with one of 63 yards in a victory at Bluefield State. - Fort Valley State Football

  2022 SIAC OVERALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR (MVP) & OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Emanuel Wilson, Fort Valley State,...Wilson, a 6'1 running back from Charlotte, N.C. was named this year's Overall Player of the Year (MVP) and Offensive Player of the Year after being the first 1,000-yard rusher for the FVSU Wildcats since 2004. The redshirt junior was one of the top running backs in the conference and Division II. He is ranked first in the conference for all-purpose yards (161 yards per game), scoring and scoring touchdowns (11.4 points per game), rushing, rushing attempts, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns (137.1 yards per game).

In Division II, he is tied for seventh in total touchdowns (19), ranks seventh for rushing yards, tied for ninth in rushing touchdowns, tied for seventh in scoring and 11th in rush yards per carry. He is also tied for sixth for all-purpose yards and is ranked seventh in rushing yards per game. After being named to the 2022 All-SIAC Preseason First Team, Wilson earned two SIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. On the season, he finished with 209 rushes for 1,371 yards and 17 touchdowns and 24 receptions for 239 yards. He also added two touchdowns for 1,610 all-purpose yards. He led the Fort Valley State offense to top the conference in total offensive yards (393.9 yards per game) and total offensive touchdowns (40). - SIAC Football

  2019 ALL-SIAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Defensive Lineman Demetrius Harris, Fort Valley State, Redshirt Junior,...Harris was a terror coming from the left defensive end spot. The SIAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-SIAC First Team player topped the league and was second in NCAA DII in sacks at 1.35 per games, while he led the nation with 0.60 forced fumbles per game and stood second in the conference and fourth in the nation with 1.95 tackles for loss per contest. On the year, the Decatur, Ga., product registered 43 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss of 106 yards, 13.5 sacks of 83 yards, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, which he returned one 22 yards for a touchdown.
