  Coy Williams rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown and Dylan Sparks ran for 122 yards and two scores - including a 61-yarder - as Davidson took over sole possession of first place in the Pioneer Football League with a 29-22 victory over Morehead State on Saturday. Morehead State used Andrew Foster's 20-yard field goal in the first quarter and his 49-yarder with 10:46 left in the second to take a 6-0 lead. Davidson (6-1, 5-0) didn't get on the scoreboard until Williams' 61-yard run with 3:39 left in the first half. After the Wildcats defense forced a three-and-out, Louis Colosimo directed a 10-play, 64-yard drive that culminated with his 8-yard TD toss to Lucas Raber with 15 seconds left in the half. Morehead State (5-3, 4-1) blocked Caden Bonoffski's extra-point kick, Tyler Noble ran it all the way back and the Eagles trailed 13-8 at halftime.

Morehead State regained the lead 15-13 on Mark Pappas' 17-yard TD toss to Devonte Adams midway through the third quarter, but Bonoffski kicked a 35-yard field with 50 seconds left and the Wildcats never trailed again. Williams had a 32-yard TD run early in the final quarter and Sparks scored on a 14-yard run with 4:48 remaining to stretch the Wildcats' lead to 29-15. Eli Turner Jr. ran for 97 yards on just 10 carries as the Wildcats piled up 397 yards on the ground. Pappas was 24-of-44 passing for 262 yards with two TDs and two interceptions for Morehead State.   Louis Colosimo threw for two touchdowns, Aris Hilliard rushed for two scores and Davidson beat Butler 49-35 on Saturday. Davidson (4-1, 3-0 Pioneer) entered leading the FCS by averaging 300 yards rushing per game, and gained 363 yards on 48 carries against Butler. Hilliard carried it four times, including a 59-yard run to tie it at 7, for 105 yards. Coy Williams rushed for 65 yards and a score, his 10th of the season. Colosimo only attempted 10 passes and seven went for completions. After Butler tied it at 21 with 1:06 remaining before halftime, Davidson went on a seven-play, 70-yard drive for the first of four unanswered touchdowns. Mark McCurdy caught at 35-yard score, Hilliard added a 15-yarder on the ground, Bradyn Oakley caught a Colosimo pass for 57 yards and Eli Turner Jr. gave Davidson a 49-21 lead with a 4-yard run. Bret Bushka was 21 of 32 for 166 yards and two touchdowns for Butler (2-5, 0-4). He also rushed for 46 yards and a score.   Louis Colosimo threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score and Davidson dominated the middle quarters in rolling to a 70-35 victory over Presbyterian in Pioneer Football League action on Saturday. Davidson (4-1, 3-0) trailed 8-7 after one quarter before scoring 21 straight points. Coy Williams second short TD run started the Wildcats' surge. Colosimo followed with a 64-yard scoring strike to Jackson Sherrard and a 71-yard TD run to put the Paladins up 28-8 with 6:35 remaining in the first half. Ren Hefley sandwiched two TD passes around a third scoring run by Williams - this one a 29-yarder - and the Blue Hose (2-4, 0-3) trailed 35-22 at halftime. They would get no closer.

Davidson stretched its lead to 56-22 after three quarters on Dylan Sparks' 27-yard TD run and scoring strikes from Colosimo to Mark McCurdy and Sherrard, covering 26 and 27 yards, respectively. Colosimo completed 8 of 10 passes for 151 yards and three TDs. He also ran for 95 yards on three carries. Presbyterian's Hefley, who came in averaging just under 400 yards passing with 21 TDs through the first five games, completed 32 of 56 passes for 298 yards and two TDs with two interceptions.   Coy Williams scored three rushing touchdowns and Dylan Sparks' 1-yard scoring run late carried Davidson to a 35-28 win over Stetson on Saturday. Sparks' scoring run ended a nine-play, 75-yard drive that took more than five minutes and left the Hatters with 3:31 to try and tie it. In two drives sandwiched around a Davidson (3-1, 2-0 Pioneer Football League) punt, Stetson (2-2, 0-1) turned it over on downs and time expired on its final drive when the Wildcats defense held Stetson (2-2, 0-1) to 15 yards.

Stetson built a 21-7 lead late in the first half when Justin Agner threw a 41-yard scoring pass to Nazeviah Burris. Davidson responded with a 12-yard Williams touchdown run with 1:39 before intermission, he scored again from the 1 out of the break and Louis Colosimo threw a 14-yard scoring pass to Jackson Sherrard with 3:08 left in the third for 28-21 lead. Agner connected with Burris again from 5 yards out with 8:46 left to knot it at 28-all.   Louis Colosimo had a 24-yard touchdown pass to Eli Turner Jr. with 2:34 left to help Davidson secure a 28-16 win over San Diego on Saturday. Facing third-and-14, Colosimo found Turner across the middle before running it in for the score. The brief scoring drive for the Wildcats (2-1, 1-0 Pioneer Football League) followed a Torreros drive in which they turned it over on downs deep in their own territory with three minutes left. San Diego (0-4, 0-1) reduced its deficit to 21-16 with 7:39 remaining when Mason Randall threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Michael Carner. Dylan Sparks, Mark McCurdy and Turner each scored rushing touchdowns for Davidson. Turner also completed a 34-yard pass to Jalen Staples to set up his own short scoring run to make it 21-9 early in the fourth quarter. Dylan Sparks added 70 yards rushing on 18 carries and a touchdown for Davidson (1-1). The Wildcats finished with 310 yards rushing. Christian Peters was 19-of-31 passing for 196 yards and threw three touchdown passes to lead Shaw. Sidney Gibbs had 15 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown run.
