  2021 ALL-IVY LEAGUE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Will Allen, Columbia (Sr., DB - Pembroke Pines, Fla.),...A two-year All-Ivy League selection (2017 and 2021), Allen led the Lions with 11 pass breakups, finished with two interceptions with 47 return yards and 22 tackles (14 solo) as a cornerback in 2021. He also ranked No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in the Ivy League in kickoff return touchdowns (1), No. 18 nationally and No. 2 in Ivy League in passes defended (1.2 per game) and No. 8 in the Ivy League in interceptions (two). His 11 pass breakups rank tied for the fifth-most total in Columbia season history. He scored a touchdown on a 92-yard kickoff return vs. Georgetown and intercepted a career-best two passes in the season finale at Cornell.   2021 IVY LEAGUE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Joe Green, Columbia (So., QB - Sammamish, Wash.),...Columbia sophomore quarterback Joe Green earned Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors. Serving as the signal caller for the Lions, Green helped lead them to a 7-3 overall record. The Sammamish, Wash., native finished the season with 1590 yards and 11 total touchdowns. Green, who was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week three times, only threw three interceptions. He is fifth player from Columbia to earn the honor and the first since linebacker Alex Gross claimed it in 2007. - Ivy League Football

  Joe Green threw for three touchdowns and Columbia beat Brown 23-17 on Saturday in a game delayed an hour due to rain. Columbia (6-3, 3-3 Ivy League) clinched its third winning season in the last four years. Green was 12-of-22 passing for 176 yards and Ryan Young totaled 126 all-purpose yards - 60 receiving and 66 rushing. Columbia tied it at 14 when Green scrambled to his right and found Young down the sidelines for a 60-yard touchdown. Alex Felkins' 42-yard field goal early in the fourth gave Columbia a two-possession lead. The Columbia defense held Brown, averaging 30.9 points per game, to a season low for points and passing yards. Columbia forced three turnovers, two fumbles and an interception, and compiled its second highest tackles-for-loss on the year with 12. EJ Perry's streak of 16 straight games with a passing touchdown came to an end for Brown (2-7, 1-5). He completed 22 of 35 attempts for 224 yards with one interception. - AP College Football

  Quarterback Ty Lenhart ran for three of Columbia's four rushing touchdowns and Will Allen returned a kickoff 92 yards for a score as the Lions turned back Georgetown 35-24 in nonconference play on Saturday. Ty'son Edwards and Lenhart had short TD runs in the first quarter to put Columbia (2-0) up 14-0. The Hoyas (1-2) pulled within 14-7 early in the second quarter on Joshua Stakely's 2-yard TD run, but Allen quickly pushed the Lions' lead back to 14 when he returned the ensuing kickoff for a score. Pierce Holley scored on a 6-yard run to cap a nine-play, 83-yard drive to pull Georgetown within seven and Conor Hunt added a 42-yard field goal to get the Hoyas within 21-17 at halftime.

Columbia used Ben Mathiasmeier's interception and 68-yard return to set up Lenhart's second TD run - from 1 yard out - to take a 28-17 lead with 4:14 left in the third quarter. Holley hit Cameron Crayton for a 2-yard TD after the pair teamed up for a 52-yard gain earlier in the drive to pull the Hoyas within 28-24 with 25 seconds left in the quarter. The Lions finally put Georgetown away when Lenhart scored his third TD - an 8-yard run - with 2:36 left to play. Mathiasmeier picked off Holley for a second time to end the Hoyas' final possession. Ryan Young rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries for Columbia. Lenhart completed 1 of 4 passes for 2 yards and ran for 18 yards on five carries. Joe Green completed 11 of 16 passes for 103 yards, while Wills Meyer had five catches for 87 yards. Holley completed 27 of 42 passes for 368 yards and a TD with two picks for Georgetown. Joe Green completed 12 of 19 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown for Columbia (1-0), which played its first game in 664 days as the Ivy League canceled the 2020 season. Dante Miller rushed for 117 yards and Ryan Young added 95. Gabriel Hollingsworth scored his first career touchdown to cut the Marist lead to 14-7. He led the Lions in tackles (67) and interceptions (two) from his strong safety position. His most memorable play came in overtime against Harvard when he ended the game with a walk-off interception. He registered 10 or more tackles in two games and made three or more tackles in all 10 contests during the 2019 season. He led Columbia and set a school-record for most tackles for loss in a season for a first-year with 8.5, ranked second on the squad with 60 tackles (30 solo), intercepted a pass, recovered a fumble and forced a fumble in just six starts and 10 games played at linebacker. He ranked No. 10 in the Ivy League in tackles per game (6.0) and ranked No. 11 in tackles for loss (0.85 per game). Valentas registered two 10-plus tackle games and led the Lions in tackles twice.   2019 ALL-IVY LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Rory Schlageter, Columbia (Sr., TE - Maplewood, N.J.),...A native of Maplewood, N.J., Schlageter was the only tight end named to the All-Ivy League First Team. He becomes the first Columbia tight end to earn First Team All-Ivy League honors since Andrew Kennedy in 2010. Schlageter ranked No. 3 on the squad in both receptions (24) and receiving yards (239), scored one touchdown, and ranked No. 4 in all-purpose yardage. Schlageter, who caught at least one pass in nine of Columbia's 10 games in 2019, set career-highs for both receptions (7) and receiving yards (52) in the Lions' season finale at Cornell. A 31-game starter, who has seen action in 37 career contests at Columbia, Schlageter has caught 38 passes for 328 yards (8.9 average per catch) and three touchdowns.   2019 ALL-IVY LEAGUE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Daniel DeLorenzi, Columbia (Sr., DL - Cedar Grove, N.J.),...DeLorenzi earns All-Ivy League honors for the second consecutive season as he was a First Team selection last year. This year, DeLorenzi ranked No. 4 in the league in sacks (5.5), No. 15 in tackles for loss (7.5) and finished with 26 tackles (12 solo), a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. Earlier this year against Central Connecticut State, he set Columbia's career sacks and most sacks from yardage records. DeLorenzi, who has led the Lions in sacks in each of the last four seasons, concludes his career with 22.0 sacks, 27.0 tackles for loss and 95 tackles (48 solo) in 37 games played. He goes down as Columbia's all-time greatest pass-rusher as he is the school's record-holder for career sacks (22.0), most season sacks (10.0 in 2018), and most career yards from sacks (132).
