OCT 7 RMAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: James Maxie of CSU-Pueblo has been named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. He led the defense in the 21-13 road win at South Dakota Mines, as he had a day with 17 tackles (eight solo), 6.5 tackles for loss (-27 y ards) and 4.5 sacks (-24 yards). The 17 tackles tied the program record, set by Lee Meisner versus Chadron State College on Oct. 2, 2010. The 17 tackles are the second most in the RMAC this season and tied for 12th in NCAA Division II in 2019. The 6.5 ta ckles for loss are the most in NCAA Division II this season, a new program record and ranks third all-time in the RMAC. SEPT 30 RMAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Justin Dwinell of CSU-Pueblo has been named RMAC Special Teams Player of the Week. He was the key in the 24-17 home victory against No. 11 Texas A&M-Commerce, as he helped to flip the field on multiple occas ions with two 50-plus yard punts, which included a long of 61 yards that went out of bounds at the one yard line. He also had four of his seven punts land inside the 20. He totaled 297 yards for an average of 42.4 yards per punt. His efforts helped limit Lion returner Dominique Ramsey to two returns for 24 yards. He entered the game fourth in Division II in punt returns with 24.7 yards per return. - Rocky Mountain Football

OCT 28 GNAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Michael Roots (Central Washington, RB, 5-10, Jr., Sacramento, Calif., Southern Oregon Univ.): Roots carried 14 times for a GNAC season-high of 221 yards and three touchdowns in Central Washington's 62-10 win over Simon Fraser. He also caught two passes for 16 yards to finish with 237 all-purpose yards. In the process, Roots surpassed 2,000 rushing yards for his CWU career, making him the 15th in GNAC history to cross that plateau.
